Tekterm Professional Megaphone Blowhorn with Built-in Siren, Music and Volume Control (Standard, 40 Watts)

This Megaphone is very loud. It has an adjustable slide volume and two sound affects (police serene & music). The on/off is push button and has a red indicator light to let you know if it's on.The mic. is very handy so I do not have to pick up the whole unit. This megaphone is durably made for the most part except for the hand mic. The hand mic. is pretty sound but at the same you would need to be careful not to be rough with it. I thought at first it was not going to hold up but I have had no problems with it whatsoever. There is a button you have to push on the side of the mic. in order to speak through it. When you first push the button it holds itself into position and you have to push it again to turn it off, if not the mic. will stay on. This feature is there so you do not have to hold down the button if you are going to be speaking for a long duration of time.This unit takes 6 D batteries and the battery life has done well. I use this megaphone 5 days a week while on the bus and have even forgot to turn it off in the evenings a few times and the batteries are still going strong. One note to mention is I have been using the same batteries since school began and over three months have passed.If someone wrote a bad review for this units working capability then they are either use to a high-end unit or received a lemon which could even happen with a Mercedes Ben. I would recomend this Megaphone even though the green color is somewhat less to be desired.

It's OK - but it's clearly falsely advertised - the box it comes in has the "40 Watts" all covered over with stickers, and when you read the instructions / specifications sheet it's like 10 watts maybe. It did work for my needs.

Good for what I need

It fit my needs exactly. It is of good quality and plenty loud. Excellent product
