I put in my rechargables and nothing happened. Most AA rechargables are 1.2v (my new thing learned today) . I wish they were more clear in the description. **Q: Where is this product made from?** A: The product is designed in Europe and made in China **Q: I like the pepper mill, except it is next to impossible to fill. Any suggestions?** A: I use a different brand grinder, but same problem when refilling. I found that cutting off the top half of a soda bottle or water bottle makes a very effective "funnel". I can direct the peppercorns into it easily and more quickly since the bottle's opening is much larger than a funnel. **Q: can you use rechargeable batteries?** A: I would assume you could since it will take regular batteries.
