GrowMax Coco Peat
WOW! I am so impressed. This really does expand A LOT. It helps to give my elevated gardens texture for the root structures to grab onto and fluffs the soil so it takes longer to compact, but it also helps keep the FL brutal sun from drying out the so fast. As an added touch, the coco peat comes in a reuseable bag. So there's very little waste. I love it!

High Value, Low Price
Great product. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that they make it seem like it's the perfect dirt for all types of plants. Although my plants are still alive, they are no longer thriving. In addition, it gets fungus on the top layer, growing REALLY quickly and easily. In short, I do not recommend this for quick dry soil needs or oak trees (the two types of my plants that are struggling with it)

Plants are happy
Product came wrapped in plastic wrap along with recycle bag, was delivered in a timely manner. I placed core in a large tote and saturated it with water gradually breaking it apart until all mixture was light and fluffy. Once hydrated I added potting soil and cow Maneur to use mixture in both flower bed and pots for new seedlings which on it's own does not provide the nutrition necessary for plants to flourish. The mixture keeps the moisture in around the plants which allows a good growing medium. Overall satisfied with product and would purchase again.

Twine, plastic strips. Disappointed
I purchase a lot of the coconut course through Amazon. There are some extremely great examples available which actually do appear to be triple washed and sifted. Sadly this is not that. Generally I'll take a wheel barrow, hydrate a 10lb brick add in Turface, pumice, and pine bark fines. By the time the pine bark goes in in just at the edge of over flow. This stuff started badly. Packaging, nice, but the first of the two bricks purchased contained nearly a foot of twine. Long white stands of plastic coating similar to what yours find on bag ties and ridiculously useless clumps of long coconut hair entwined in nest like structures. And three pieces of husk that where nearly an inch wide and 3+ inches long. The amount of junk in this brick Takes up so much space the final yield it's very low. Plus you have to sift it yourself and then clean the salts and other containments. It was time consuming and the lower price was no where near the amount of yield nor effort. I'd suggest buying one of the other brands on again Amazon even if the price is a few bucks more. I one day shipped 30lbs so I could complete my repotting and only lose a day.

Quality product
Good quality product. I did rinse and soak medium in a 5.8 ph calmag solution (6ml per gallon calimagic) for 8 hours. I also added 8 quarts of perlite. My plants are thriving like never before. Very happy.

Great deal for reptile owners
This is an incredible deal. I use it for my reptiles, it is the same thing as EcoEarth, and is so much cheaper. You get a HUGE block for a fraction of the cost of EcoEarth. The packaging is great as well. Highly recommend if you have multiple reptiles!

It works.
I found a few big chunks in there but I guess it's fine. At least my plant is still alive. It's easy to dry.

1 pound of sand 9 pounds coir
I bought three bricks of this coco coir for an indoor grow. It looked smaller than bricks I have bought in the past from different manufacturers, otherwise it looked fine. After hydrating the brick with 6-7 gallons of water I tested the EC which read roughly 450ppm. I continued to flush the coir until the EC read 65 ppm. After removing the coco coir from the container and draining the water I was left with a unexceptable amount of sand (see pictures). In the past I have bought coco coir bricks from 10 different manufacturers and I have never had this amount of sand be washed out of the coco bricks. I would estimate that at least 10% of each blocks weight was sand. That is unexceptable. Other than the coir being loaded with sand and dirty it was as Expected. With this large amount of sand i would say that this company adds sand to increase weight of coco bricks. I paid for 10 pounds of coir not 9 pounds coir and 1 pound of sand. The cut game is in full effect here people.
