FlowXtreme NE4520 2-Speed in-Ground Pool Pump w/Copper Windings, 1 HP/2280-5040 GPH/230V, Black

I needed a new pump saw this one with a 4 star rating and many good reviews. So I purchased. First one came in damaged. The electrical connection cover was badly cracked in several places. What was concerning was this wasn't transit damage. The two boxes it was packed in were damage free. So it must have been damaged prior to being put in the box to ship. Had to have been dropped or something similar and it was shipped anyway. Almost a week down no pump for my ever greening pool. Amazon of course shipped another right away. Received a few days later looked perfect. Spend about 5 hours or so installing and putting in new pipe. Only to start it up and find it was pouring water from the bottom of the pump housing. My guess...the shaft seal was bad or placed incorrectly. Almost two weeks no pump of my now slime covered pool. So here is my warning; statistically speaking, one is acceptable an abberation or whatever. However, two right behind one another means a whole different thing. It's impossible for it to be only two it could be exceptionally higher in fact. So I said all this to to say I'd skip this one while you may get an undamaged and functional pump but my experience suggests otherwise. Keep in mind also all Amazon will do is replace or refund if you are paying a contractor to install you get no help there. So spend the extra few bucks and get a higher quality US made product. I did and the difference in just the heft of the materials used to make the pump is substantial. Get what you pay for!

I replaced a 20 year old pool pump with this model. A straight forward change .Nothing too complicated. It was very well packaged. Arrived bang on time. Thank you once again Amazon for coming through with the goods. I cannot comment on longevity but i guess it will last 20 years.

Terrible time getting it to prime… finally got it, but every time it turned on it had to be primed all over again. Suction is terrible. Worked decently for two weeks and it’s not working anymore.Checked the filter and pipes, nothing wrong with them. Pump is what you pay for… garbage!What a waste…DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PUMP!!!

I received this pump....the wiring diagram was written in the 3rd world. Need simple instructions for the black wire (Line/.Load), the white wire with the black tape around it and i figured out the green wire (duh!) . Every other pump and youtube video has L, 1 and 2 ... your pump has H L and C.

The pump went in and is functioning well. The Customer Questions and Answers says:Question:Can it switxh from 230 to 115Answer:Yes it can be switched.By Caveman on May 25, 2021It is not, it is only 230V. It cannot be switched.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Easy instructions on how to connect but once powered on operates on Low. Toggled to H - no change - toggled to C which is off - no change - could be a bad toggle or just a defective product. Wondering if I remove from C and wire to H if that would do anything? There is no mention adding wire to H only that either lead can go to C or L - any troubleshooting advice would be appreciated.

Electrical connections not clear. the electrical connections do not come ready to start up the pump. I had to get nuts in order to connect the electrical wires. After I connected the wires the pump did not have enough suction power. Do not buy this product. It says it is a 1 HP pump but it loos like it is a 1/8 hp.

Licensed electrician installed pool pump. Defective right out of the box. So returned item for refund, then Amazon is sneaky, my refund got reimbursed in the form of a gift card and not to the credit card I used to purchase. Now I owe that balance on 2 credit cards. Not cool, not wanting to order anything form AMAZON anymore.
