Custom temperature monitoring
These sensors work great for my custom temperature monitoring solution. The only problem is that after extended use they start to inject seemingly random mouse/keyboard inputs to the computer and cause it to freak out. You have to unplug them to clear their internal memory and revert to standard behavior. I wrote custom software for reading from them, so I could be doing something wrong, but there is no documentation for how to interface with them either, so I can't really say. I had to find reference implementations online and who knows if they were even doing it right. The software they come with is garbage for any legitimate use of the sensors.

DO NOT buy for Linux
Has no linux support at all, and nothing available for it on the internet either (in spite of the linux logo on the package)

Works well, bargain price!
This thing is just all kinds of fun. I don't have a USE for it, it just seemed like a fun thing to play with--and it is. :-) Plug it into a USB port, hit the button, and it starts recording the temperature in a spreadsheet. I'm not sure how long the meter takes to equilibrate to room temp or how fast it responds to changes. I've needed similar recording meters before--but they were expensive and had to be calibrated by a NIST source. This is good enough for home/garden/whatever, and even if you don't need one, it IS fun to play with. :-)

Well made but not easily configured on my Raspberry Pi4
I was impressed with the build quality of the device but I haven't gotten it to be recognized by my Raspberry Pi4. There are apparently a few python scripts on Github that should help. In the meantime I've purchased another sensor that was much easier on my Pi4.

Works well but...
This product works well if you want to use it with Excel. Other than that you need to be well versed in software in order to be able to use it. Their software is borderline unusable and mostly has been translated but there's still some parts in other languages. I figure you could probably build software for this thing if you wanted to and if you could get good software for it it could be an extremely valuable tool. I put this in a server room that I knew was hot and as it turns out it was extremely hot.

Works as described, but application that came with it is sub-par
Application that came with it is sub-par. You need Windows Media Player installed for it to work. It is only partly translated.

Good Tool
This is a great little tool. I use it to monitor my mining rig while I am away. The software does kind of suck and why this received 4 stars, but it is manageable. The construction is surprisingly good and the measurements seem to be spot-on.

This does not work
This item is supposed to read inner and outer temperatures and log them for a time interval as chosen by the user. The item did not:1. measure or record outer temperature, only inner temperatures2. did not record successive measurements, it only recorded the last measurement, overwriting the previous measurement. All in all, a worthless piece of junk. Spent many hours trying to get it to work. A replacement for the original unit sent to me free of charge worked no better.
