I recently camped in the Mojave National Preserve for 4 days...the soil was loose and sandy. I used the stakes to hold down the end of a sunshade. The wind was pretty steady the whole time and sometimes blew very hard. Although the shade flipped once or twice the stakes did not budge, and kept it from blowing away. They worked beautifully.

Good heavy quality. These are always a balance between driving them in (these go in fairly easy) and tendency to pull out. (these are long enough to be pretty stable.) The fairly small holding tab fits into smaller canopy feet and tarp rings, and has rope tabs for tent ropes. I use these on my canopy with weight bags and have never had it blow away yet, even in the pretty bad winds.

Went through all the reviews. If you abuse the stakes then of course they will get damaged. Great stakes. Used them in a semi hard ground and they worked great. The harder the ground the more harder it is to remove from the ground. Well that can be said for most stakes unless its the super small diameter ones and they don't hold in the ground anyways. These ones are perfect. If you want heavy duty. Then get these ones. No bending, breaking while putting into the ground. Happy with them.

We've been camping and used our new tent stakes. These won't break! They can be pounded in the hardest soil and stand up to the pressure. These are durable and will last thru many seasons of camping.

We're camping a lot all over the country. These stakes are a MUST if you want to secure lines, tents or pop-ups! They drive in solid rocky soil as well as firm dirt - and stay put. Pay the extra money over lesser quality stakes - they're worth it.

Great heavy duty stakes! Kept bending the traditional “shepherds hook” style stakes and decided to upgrade. Only used them once so far but worked great in the wet clay based soil I had. There were a lot of tree roots; however, these heavy duty stakes had no problem.

Worked really great in any conditions. Some reviews say that they don't do well in soft soil. I agree, but it is really easy to just give them a stronger angle in the ground, which creates enough opposite force in just about any soil.Alll in all, best stakes i've ever used.

Very heavy duty stakes. I bought these to use on my canopy at the beach. The longer length of the stakes helps keep my canopy in place even with the heavier winds you get at the beach. I remmnend this product for canopies, tents or anything else you need stakes for.
