Don't know if it's completely smooth. **Q: How many eyelets are included?** A: 15 of each color **Q: Plastic to metal?** A: They are metal. **Q: Would these work to create a hinged joint (one that can easily move) with cardstock? I'd like to make paper cut-out puppets with joints that can move.** A: you would probably need teh two piece sets with washers on the back to create hinged eyelets.
