The knives in our knife block were very dull - very frustrating when chopping vegetables and cutting meats - and were in great need of sharpening. I've dragged my feet on taking them in to be professionally sharpened as it is a big hassle with three young kids. I decided to give it a go at home and ordered this sharpener - and I'm so glad I did! The suction cups worked well for me - it stayed secure on our granite countertop. The directions were easy to follow - I quickly got the hang of it and was able to sharpen five straight edge kitchen knives in a matter of minutes. I will say that the sound is metal on metal - which took some getting used to . . . but well worth it to have sharp knives again! I definitely recommend this product!

Recently received this and tried right away. Sharpened ALL of our kitchen knives and a few pocket knives. Works amazing!! Its a bit of an annoying noise but thats to be expected. It takes maybe 45-60 seconds per knife to swipe slowly thru each slot and the result is excellent. Knives are literally sharper than ever. Much much sharper. Highly recommend.

Did horrible job, left last 3/4 if blade flat not sharp flat, almost ruined blade. Returned for refund, piece of crap

The motor died on mine after 1st use of sharpening 7 knives-- but what it did was fantastic!! Im so happy I dont even mind calling to get mine replaced..im sure it was a fluke..

This sharpener works VERY well and so quickly too! I have several individual large knives as well as a knife set that sits in a block. I sharpened them all in no time! Awesome purchase!
