Time Travel Successfully Proven!
This small precious tome, is a treasure for several unlikely reasons. One it's obscure subject is masterfully written by the author Kassai Lajos. Suppose you had opportunity to read a diffinitive book by the inventor of an international sport like baseball written when the game was in it's infancy. You missed that one. American Civil War was going on and Baseball was invented by the participants in their spare time. Horseback Archery is now an international sport practiced almost anywhere folk play "horsegames". It is all result of this man and his passionate recreation of his Historical Heritage. He has successfully traveled back in time and recovered the skills and more so the mindset and spiritual reverence of his Hungarian Ancestery. That ancestory is the end product of "Horse Archers" dating back to the Scythian's and Parthians that successfully challenged the Military might and defeated Roman Legions in the fields of what is now the Middle East. This wasn't some ambush sprung on edge of swamp in the German Forest. It was a stand up fight of light horse archery vs. armored Roman Infantry, hitherto undefeated. The technique used in this modern sport is basically the same as these warriors used then. Speed of movement, Accuracy, and number of hits, determine scoring and performance. It is also an equestrian skill set. Horse is guided over course by knee pressure and training alone (reins are dropped to mounts neck) ,and Archer times his release to rythem of canter cadence when all four hoofs are airborne. Now the other shoe: this book was a small edition printed for those interested in the unknown sport. Unfortunately it hasn't been reprinted and so is more a collectable than a working manual. The personal and spiritual aspects of this book alone are worth the read. I personally wish Kassai Lajos would make use of some gifted Videographer and convert this book to DVD or theatrical release as "Buck" was. The gold is there it just needs to be mined. That format would lend itself so much more to this incredable visual treasure and maybe pry open the "Time Travel Doorway" for the masses.
