Great OEM+ Replacement
I installed this on a Redcat Volcano with the original motor paired with an amazon "Hobby Fans" transmitter and receiver. Everything works great, and so far has been reliable! It seems to accelerate quicker, and maybe even have a slightly higher top speed but who know I only dabble with RC... It feels well made and performs well as a stock upgrade unit! Would buy again.

Inexpensive but reliable option
Installed this on one of my RC rally cars that use Tamiya Torque tuned motor. Works as it should. Very small footprint which makes it easy to install with the limited space.

Would buy again
Worked perfect for my application. It’s nice to not have to use a programmer to “tune” it.

Worth every Penny
Dropping this unit into my UTB18 made a world of difference in the slow speed control. I would Recommend this to anyone with that mystery sized buggy from Axial. I love the rig even more now.

Robust and easy to setup
I am brand new to the world of RC cars and was putting together a fully 3D-printed RC race car. I saw recommendations from others on this ESC unit and purchased this over the others due to its reliability and simplicity. I was not disappointed. The instructions were easy to understand and it integrated flawlessly with the rest of my RC car setup.

Great for MSE-6
Hello all, I was suggested this ESC while building my Mouse Droid on a Traxxas Bandit. This ESC works great with the SHADOW system, even if you don't use that system. It is super simple to configure the ESC with the included jumpers and easy-to-read pictures.

Great Brushed ESC
Great, basic, brushed ESC for RC cars running a brushed motor. Same one that came with Tamiya kits.

For beginner this is great and maybe even amazing proven ESC... easy to use OMG
The Hobbywing QuicRun WP-1060 is one of the most popular entry-level electronic speed controllers (ESCs) for brushed RC cars, especially 1/10 scale trucks, crawlers, and buggies. It’s designed to be simple, durable, and beginner-friendly, which is why it shows up so often in RC builds and upgrades. In practice, this ESC is known for being very reliable and “plug-and-play”. It supports 2S–3S LiPo (or NiMH equivalents), has a built-in 6V BEC for powering your receiver and steering servo, and uses a straightforward jumper system for basic settings instead of complicated programming cards. That makes it easy to install even if you’re new to RC electronics. The waterproof and dustproof design is another big advantage, especially if you run your car in wet grass, dirt, or snow. Performance-wise, it delivers smooth throttle control and solid braking for brushed motors (typically 540/550 size). It’s not a “performance-tuning” ESC, so you won’t get adjustable punch profiles or advanced settings—but that’s part of its design philosophy: stability over complexity. Many hobbyists choose it specifically because it just works consistently and can handle moderate abuse without overheating when paired correctly with the right motor gearing. One thing to be aware of is that it can feel slightly “tamer” compared to some stock or higher-performance ESCs, especially if your previous setup had more aggressive throttle curves. Also, performance depends heavily on correct battery mode settings and motor pairing—incorrect jumper settings (like LiPo cutoff on NiMH) can make the car feel sluggish. Overall, the QuicRun WP-1060 is considered a dependable, low-maintenance ESC that’s ideal for casual driving, beginners, and budget-friendly builds rather than racing-focused setups.

Exellent Basic ESC
I've only had one of these stop working when I ran it with 3s lipo and a 550 motor. Currently running 3 if these. Two are in TT02's and on in an old TL01 fir me and my kids to race each other. I've run these for hours and hours. We've even submerged one of them several times with no problems. Stick with 2s Lipo's and it's the last ESC you'll need.

Happy with this ESC
Had to replace a burnt out esc on my Element Enduro Trailwalker. This HOBBYWING Quicrun 1060 Brushed Esc Sbec T Plug 2-3s works great and has an on/off button which my original equipment did not have.
