Review: Über alles ein gutes Gerät. - Ich erstelle oft kleine Video-Tutorials. Dazu verwendete ich bisher einen HDMI-Switch von Blackmagic Design Atem - den Mini Pro. Damit lassen sich Videos komfortabel schneiden. In den Videos überblenden wir oft Bilder von verschiedenen Kamerapositionen. Deshalb habe ich mich gefreut, den MT-L4UHD von MT-VIKI mal testen zu können. Bei dem mir zur Verfügung gestellten Gerät handelt es sich - wie bekannt - um einen Videomischer, der sowohl für Live-Streaming-Anwendungen als auch für den direkten Videoschnitt geeignet ist. Das Gerät ist gut verarbeitet, das Gehäuse ist aus Kunststoff, damit komme ich klar. Die Tasten haben einen guten Druckpunkt und lassen sich gut bedienen. Im Lieferumfang sind neben dem Gerät selbst auch das benötigte Netzteil und ein Netzwerkkabel enthalten. Eine Bedienungsanleitung fehlt, kann aber auf der Produktseite des Herstellers heruntergeladen werden. Das Handbuch ist dort allerdings nur in englischer Sprache verfügbar, nicht sehr umfangreich und für Einsteiger eher ungeeignet. Auf der Herstellerseite findet sich auch die Software zur Steuerung des Mixers. Das Gerät verarbeitet maximal Full-HD Videostreams mit 1080p @ 60 Hz, damit kann man derzeit leben. Das Gerät verfügt über vier HDMI Videoeingänge, zwei 2x Mikrofoneingänge und einen 1x 3,5mm Audioeingang. Eine Phantomspeisung für die Mikrofone ist nicht vorhanden. Solche Mikrofone müssen über ein separates Mischpult angeschlossen werden. Als Ausgänge stehen ein Programmausgang (PGM) und ein Vorschauausgang (PVW) zur Verfügung. Das ist hier ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, denn der Vorschauausgang fehlt dem Mini Pro und macht die Arbeit doch etwas einfacher. Der Ton kann über eine 3,5mm Klinkenbuchse ausgegeben werden. Aufgenommen werden kann über die USB-Type-C Video-Aufnahmeschnittstelle, auch die direkte Aufnahme auf USB-Sticks wird unterstützt. Insgesamt ist man mit den Möglichkeiten des MT-L4UHD etwas eingeschränkter, es fehlen einige Optionen zum Umschalten des Tons und auch einige Überblendungen sind nicht vorhanden. Aber ich vermisse nicht so viel. Der im MT-L4UHD integrierte Fairlight Audio-Mixer kann für alle HDMI-Audioeingänge und Mikrofone verwendet werden. Einen Equalizer oder Filter wie einen Kompressor gibt es hier leider nicht. Trotzdem sind die Möglichkeiten für meine Zwecke mehr als ausreichend. Bild-in-Bild (PIP) mit Einstellmöglichkeiten für Position, Größe und Farbe nutze ich hin und wieder und die Bedienung ist hier sehr einfach und intuitiv. Hier glänzt der MT-L4UHD mit erweiterten Einstellmöglichkeiten. Direktes Streaming ohne Computer wird vom MT-L4UHD leider nicht unterstützt. Hierfür wird entweder zusätzliche Software oder Hardware benötigt. Der MT-L4UHD ist mit gängigen Streamingsoftware wie OBS und vMix kompatibel. Der Mini Pro bietet zusätzlich eine engere Integration mit der Postproduktions-Software DaVinci Resolve. So ist es hier möglich, die Streams als DaVinci-Projekt abzuspeichern und später noch Änderungen vorzunehmen. Dieses Feature fehlt leider beim MT-VIKI und ich vermisse es sehr. Der MT-VIKI ist sicherlich ideal für Konferenzen, Konzerte, Sportveranstaltungen und für die Aufnahme und Übertragung von Vorlesungen und Seminaren, da er mehrere Kameraperspektiven und professionelle Audio- und Videoqualität unterstützt. Aber auch in meinen Projekten hat es sich sehr gut bewährt. Für mich war zum Beispiel die Unterstützung von Chroma Keying und damit das Einblenden von virtuellen Hintergründen wichtig. Der MT-VIKI HDMI Live Stream Switcher bietet eine kostengünstige Alternative mit umfangreichen Audio- und Video-Anpassungsfunktionen und hervorragender Unterstützung für Live Streaming. Ich werde sicherlich weiterhin meinen Mini Pro verwenden - schließlich bin ich es gewohnt, damit zu arbeiten - aber ich kann auch den MT-VIKI empfehlen.
Review: Four HDMI inputs, effects, preview and main outputs - If you can afford it this little switcher makes a great selector box between four HDMI sources. It works well as a 4in x 2out switcher, I can't test the streaming right now, it is easy to use (especially for folks who have done video work), the HDMI inputs make it versatile for consumer type gear, they weighted the unit nicely so it stays put on a countertop. As far as I can see the picture quality is very good UPDATED REVIEW: BACK TO 5-STARS Previously I low took off a couple of stars for perceived overscan problem, turns out it was my LG 32" monitor trying to act like a TV and overscanning everything. My engineer assistant told me how to dig down and switch the monitor to just scan, in other words, act like a computer monitor. Everything was fixed. I am trying to update the stars given to 5 but so far the desertcart review system is not letting me. I'm back to really liking the MT-Viki for an inexpensive HDMI video switcher. It's been ON 24/7 since it arrived here and it's working great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great live stream switch

This is actually a very nice live stream switch. It's my first switch and so far, it has all the features i could want. It is loaded with features and if it's your first switch it will take some time to learn how to use it. Once you do it will really enhance your presentations. I like the solid feel of the controls and it has enough weight to stay in place.
