Q: Can you attach plastic name tag holders to these and reuse them?

You can attach plastic name tag holders but you cannot easily take off the magnet later. The name tag holder has a pocket which you use to insert the name and you can reuse that by taking out the name tag.

I'm not really sure what you mean by using this on your sewing machine, but this is not meant to be sewn onto clothing. The magnet will attach through your clothing just fine. It's very strong.

You can’t- this is a magnet to go on the back of a name tag.
