works good but...
This sander definately has some power and works great for me. However, standard sander sheets, ( i used gator brand, from walmart) will not fit it. They are a little too wide and too short to fit the clamps. Longer sheets will have to be cut to fit, or cut full sheets to fit. I bought another from sander from walmart and it is just as powerful and convently fits standard sheets. Also, it was less expensive.

I love Chiacago products, for my needs at least. Just hard to find extra parts when needed.
The media could not be loaded. I guess used parts are so hard because everyone uses them until they are just dead!! The cordless 93142 products stay charged forever even when stored. I got a few chicago NiCa cordless items from a friend who passed over 6 years ago. The battery has just went out. Also it sometimes will go out and allowing it to sit up over time will cause the battery to work again. Mine went out 4 times and started back and didnt go out for good until over 6-10 more uses. So now I need a charger.I know that there are other charges that will charge this particular battery but I am not sure which ones. If any one knows these answeres please let me know at [email protected]. I am looking for used 93142 charger but I guess if I have too Ill buy a new one. Also if anyone has a manual for this Jigsaw could you please send the pages that describes how to put in the new saw blades. I cannot get mine to stay on, an do not know what I am doing wrong. Maybe I bought the wrong type per the store guy. However, they seem to look as if they will fit by just compaing them with the one I removed. After purchasing these I found like 10 more and havent tried them but I wanted to get hold of the manuals 1st.Thanks So Much!!See the video attached to the 93142 product battery.

OK but not great
I bought this sander on sale for about $20.00, so the price was right. It is my first power sander, and I have used it with a variety of grits and on a variety of objects, from flat surfaces to molding. It is light-weight and for the most part easy to use. I like the rectangular shape, because it is easy to get into corners. However, there are a few problems with this sander.1) The clips that hold the sandpaper in place: a) It's hard to get the paper under the back clip, due to the placement of the "dust collection" bag; and b) These clips weren't very strong to begin with, and seem to be loosening more with time. I am having increasing difficulty with the paper slipping sideways out of the clips, then tearing at the corner still attached, and coming completely loose from the front of the sander. At first this was only happening with lower grits (thicker sandpaper), but it is now happening even with 220 grit paper.2) The dust collection system is useless.3) I can't figure out what size paper it is supposed to use. The 1/4 sheet paper is too short and too wide, and the 1/3 sheet paper is way too long and a little too narrow. I've had to cut to size from larger sheets, and end up with odd shaped scraps too small to be of much use.I suppose I have gotten $20 worth of use out of it, but I don't know if I will be able to continue using it unless I can figure out how to make the clips hold the paper more tightly.
