Overall a very nice sturdy book

I love the pictures of this book! It's worth just looking through pictures first, then going back & singing the song along with it. The pictures could actually go to a whole different book, as it's bears vs people. I prefer this book for an older child, not a baby because of that, which is why I bought the hardcover. My one complaint, which I am highly disappointed about (and SO happy another reviewer pointed it out as I wouldn't have looked) at the very end of the book 3 verse to the song are given. They changed the 2nd verse! And took out the original verse which is: (Jesus loves me,He who diedHeaven's gate to open wide;He will wash away my sin,Let His little child come in.)It's still worth buying for me, since I know I'll print out the original song & put it inside the book so I can sing that vs the changed words.

Who knew that Jesus Loves Me has three verses?! We read this book to both my kids at bed almost every single night. It has delightful drawings of a bear family out for a picnic adventure to go along with the song verses. My kids still love this book 10 years later and we are sure to add it to any baby shower gift we give!

I paired this with a Gund teddy bear and it was the perfect 1 year old gift. A sweet book that has the song plus two more verses I’d never heard. Sweet illustrations.

The book specifically took out the 2nd verse of the song that speaks of Christ's death and how he washes our sins away. Changing songs to be more PC seems to be the way things are done today. However, the good news of the gospel: Christ's death, resurrection, and the forgiveness of sin, will not be snuffed out even if the culture doesn't like it and tries to change it.Here is the original hymn:1 Jesus loves me, this I know,for the Bible tells me so.Little ones to him belong;they are weak, but he is strong.Refrain:Yes, Jesus loves me! This book is wonderful. This is the first song I learned as a child and was then and still is my favorite.The drawings for this book are just precious. Purchase this book you will not be disappointed!

Great little book the kids love it and the pictures are very cute!

Bought this for my one year old and she loves it! It goes through the Jesus Loves Me song, so if you don't like singing it could be a bit boring for your child! :D
