I was expecting perfection, and I wasn’t disappointed. Most haversacks are either way to big, or way to small. The Hidden Woodsman fits in that comfortable middle ground: I can pack up everything I need for a day hike, or I can even loosen the latch straps enough to attach a bedroll and small tarp, and have everything I need for a night or two camping. If you are into prepping, this pack would be great for all of your everyday carry items. It doesn’t look “tactical,” so you can carry it around town without anyone noticing. Great stitching, material seems quite solid, and the shoulder strap is adequately thick, so it won’t dig into your neck if you wear the strap diagonally across your chest. Highly recommend. 👍Edit: There was a minor flaw in the original bag that I ordered. Nothing severe, just a tiny hole in the outer shell, no more than a millimeter in diameter, and did not go all the way through the bag, just the outer shell. Normally, something like that wouldn’t bug me, but I have a $15 backpack I bought at Wal-Mart about 10 years ago, that I’ve drug across the United States, and it still doesn’t have any holes. So, for $90, I kinda had to demand better.Contacted Amazon: they had UPS pick up the bag, and within 2 days, I had a replacement. I’m still ranking the bag 5 Stars. Anytime your working with fabrics/sewing, an occasional mistake will slip through. The replacement seems perfect, as far as I can tell, and I have every confidence in the haversack, and The Hidden Woodsman products/company. 🤟

I follow thehiddenwoodsmen on Instagram, and I have admired the haversacks for a couple of months. I finally committed to ordering one from Amazon. The bag is just as it is described, and very nice looking. I have been carrying it to and from work the last few days. I carry a Chromebook, mouse, charger, and a paper notebook in it. It is replacing a big Maxpedition bag. I didn't buy it to carry in the woods. The bag carries well over the shoulder, and the strap is comfortable.The only issue I see is with the stitching. The stitching doesn't appear to be complete at all the seams, and there are several frayed threads that are just hanging. I trim the hanging threads as I see them. I would give the stitching a 4-1/2 star rating.

Especially off from school where I don't wanna carry a regular back pack when a back pack is way too much for what I need and I don't have to inflate my jeans tiny pockets. This is basically a light, round-and-about-the city or woods bag kinda bag. Your off and hike trails or run errands in the city like post office, DMV etc. As a city person myself, I will let y'all know right off the bat that the mechanisms are great and all, it still won't deter pick pockets as I can slide my hand so a simple remedy is just sliding the bag in front of your body while mounted and your hand in your pockets. Pick pocs basically have to be a real spectral ghosts otherwise you will see hands :)Any bag (unless specifically design to prevent sticky fingers) will always be subject to pick pocket so the liberty of moving this bag from back to front or side is a plus. Another plus is ease of access to contents inside of course.Like my surroundings, I chose the urban Gray. If I lived in a rural area, I'd definitely grab the multi cam black but to each his or her own, nothing wrong with camo in city 💁🏻‍♀️Though this is not a deal breaker for me and not a flaw at all, I'm just noting (to those with pets) that this will pick up pet fur so you wanna have a small fur tape so you wanna clear it every now and then. If you don't care or have a cat matching the bag's color, rock on 🤣👍... I always keep a small tape roll though. What's cool about this little bag is it ffers bonus accommodations like molle straps and adjustable straps below so you can attach your coat or poncho. Straps on this bag easy and out of the way with small velcro straps so your bag looks nice, neat and out of the way. Definitely see the U.S made quality of this product.

I had been eyeing a few products from Hidden Woodsman for some time, and needed a new daily carry bag smaller than my usual backpack. The Haversack is the perfect size, plenty of space for your EDC items, but not large and bulky. It is very lightweight while still being durable, has a few simple pockets, and a wide comfortable shoulder strap without any padding (padding adds bulk, and unless you are weighing down the bag, will likely be less comfortable over time). Mine came with a Velcro panel on the front to allow for moral patches if that is your thing. A few rows of molle webbing on the sides are perfect for a knife/flashlight pouch, or a small first aid kit to attach without being in the way.Day to day, I keep a small first aid kit, my Kindle, a notebook and writing utensils, plus snacks and whatever else I often find need for. I like it for travel as well, using it to keep my important documents and electronics safe at my side rather than in a bulky backpack or other carry-on.Bonus, while it is OD green, and has molle and Velcro on it, it doesn't look overly tactical and blend in nicely in an urban environment. I highly recommend it.

The Hidden Woodsman website says they're out of stock for 2019 until August but here they are. Maybe there's a design change coming.I've been wanting one of these for a while and it seems like the green has been out of stock forever. The bag with the patch square is green. It's a dark green that looks gray under artificial light. Outdoors however, it's clearly a green color.The bag is smaller than I expected. I have a lot of bags and a lot of my friends have this one and it always looks bigger when I see them carrying it. The dimensions are clearly listed 12X11X3.5 but if you are used to carrying a laptop type shoulder bag, this is small by comparison.I like that the main strap is expandable and appreciate the zipper pocket. It's a nice small bag

Das ist meiner Meinung nach der beste Haversack, den man von der Stange kaufen kann.Kein anderer ist so dermassen "oldschool haversackig" wie dieser.Materialien und Verarbeitung sind top. Die Aufteilung des Innenraums ist sehr zweckmässig.Egal ob in foresta oder urbs, dieser Haversack geht immer.Werde ihn noch in einer anderen Farbe bestellen.
