New 1.8mm Thick UV400 Replacement Lenses for Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ Sunglass - Options

I have tried 10 or more different replacement aftermarket lenses that fit Oakley Flak 2.0, Flak Jacket xlj, and the half jacket line of frames. These are by a large margin the best I have tried so far.Others have terrible reflection from the back of the lense, they aren't durable (outer surface mirroring scratches off or cracks), many don't fit into the frames correctly... frankly, most other aftermarket brands have been little more than disappointing.I was looking for a non polarized lense as a replacement for my frames and finally found these that are high-quality, not distorted, great thickness, and laser cut to fit like original equipment. If you are considering these as an alternative to spending 80 or more on actual Oakley replacement lenses, than wait or think no more, just buy them! I promise you will not disappointed.This was NOT a solicited review, nor did I get anything for free. I'm just very VERY passionate about finding a great lense for my frames after many years and many brands.

These replacement lenses are a good buy.. I work construction and damage a lot of sunglasses due to constantly taking my sunglasses off and on. The cheaper thin layered replacements frequently fall out of the frame, and break much easier. I have found these "thicker" replacements to be an excellent replacement for my Oakley frames.They seem to hold up well to scratching, their thickness should provide a little more safety to debris bouncing off the lenses, and the clarity is good. I've not tested them to actual UV filtering but my eyes do not seem to be "sunburned" or strained by the end of the day in all day sunlight. I would recommend them to anyone.

Wow, these lenses at good! Noticeably thicker than the previous non-Oakley replacement lens I tried, and hence they fit without any irritating loose wobble. Lenses are clear and free of distortion which is great cause I use these for golf and tennis and I wouldn’t tolerate any kind of distortion. I’ll be more lenses from these guys, try different colors. I believe even if the exterior color of the lenses are different, colors will still be darkened the same neutral grey tint, keeping the colors true which is good for me as I don’t want to seeing a monochromatic blue, red, or whatever color lens it may be. Great deal vs ripoff Oakley brand lenses.

Really pleased with these lenses! I’ve tried revant and a few of the other main knock off brands only to get loose fitting lenses and imperfections in the lenses that could be seen while wearing them. Obviously I kinda expected such since they were all so much cheaper than the Oakley brand. BUT...yours fit right, are crystal clear, and even the “polarized” engraving looks identical! Other than being just a tad lighter than the originals, I couldn’t tell these were not authentic lenses. Very nice! As long as you’re selling lenses, I’ll be buying all my replacement Flak Jacket XLJ lenses from you! Thanks!

TL;DR - high quality lenses clarity with slightly exaggerated lense shape. I would do it all again.Effectively, we’re all looking for a high quality version of the original lenses at a more afordable price. Of all the ways they could have missed the mark, I figured surely it would be in lens clarity. But, I was wrong. The clarity is superb, but the shape of the lens is slightly exaggerated as you can see in the photos. It is most notable when you compare them against each other. But once installed, you don’t really notice it.Considering the price savings, I would definitely do it again. I’m very picky about lens clarity, and these are definitely 100%.

These lenses were a great fit for my Flak Jackets. I like how they seem to be a bit thicker than the original Oakley lenses. They are just as good as the original lenses as far as being able to see in bright light. The only reason for 4 stars is that this is my second pair. I had my first pair in for what seemed like a day. They were sitting on the table, and at some point something was dropped on the glasses, possibly an iPad. I did not know anything was wrong with them until the next day when I put them on. One of the lenses actually snapped in half. My wife took it upon herself to buy the second set of lenses sense she thought it was her fault. I just figured that the lenses might would have had enough flex in them not to break. Otherwise, they're nice lenses and I would recommend them if you are good about taking care of you glasses.

I love my Oakleys. I hate when I scratch a lens and look up the price of replacement lenses. I even have a government discount on Oakley and the replacement lenses are still super expensive. These replacements are awesome and feel just like the original Oakley lenses. Click into place, thick, clear, etc. I don't mess with polarized lenses since it causes weird colorization for me but these non-polarized work great. Give them a shot if you have some raggedy OG lenses.

I found myself in the position of having to replace the lenses for Flak Jacket XLJs...The Oakley lenses have worn well, but lost a battle with concrete when blown off my head in windy conditions this past weekend. When I came to Amazon to find non-Oakley replacements, I found many companies offering the lenses. Based on previous reviews, I opted for the High Precision Optics lenses in Black Titanium and couldn't be more pleased.The lenses arrived as scheduled. They fit the Oakley frames extremely well; the ease in removing the Oakley lenses and installing the HPO lenses was similar. A non-scientific comparison of the quality of the optics between these and the original lenses is that there really doesn't appear to be a noticeable difference...and these are polarized, where the original Flak Jacket lenses weren't. Just be ready for the rainbow effect from tempered glass the first time you use them. It will be interesting to see the longevity of these lenses, but I'm assuming with marginal care and no inopportune concrete sidewalk run-ins, they should be fine.If I have to replace lenses again, this will be me first and only stop.
