## Description

Product description H&N Sport: a tradition of success The roots of H&N Sport go back as far as 1825. In the beginning the business was industrial production of milled lead and lead foil: lead bars were cast in plates, partly by adding tin, and rolled into foil by hand. This was used for lining tobacco tins and tea caddies. In 1847 Carl Georg August Natermann acquired a former Hann. Münden fortified tower and modified it to a shot tower. Until the 1980s lead shot was produced under the “Lätare” brand name. Apart from this bullets were manufactured since the 1890s. Since the 1950s, H&N has been manufacturing a wide range of different calibre airgun pellets for the most diverse applications, in addition to round balls for muzzle-loaders and bullets for large-calibre firearms. Production is carried out exclusively on our own purpose-built machinery. Ammo that goes the distance The H&N Slug expands the caliber range of our slugs and is designed for long-range hunting and target shooting with high power airguns. The most important feature is a new hollow point design with a large meplat combined with soft lead Performance and Impact H&N pellets satisfy even the most demanding requirements from passionate air gun enthusiasts. They offer the ideal combination of accuracy and target impact. First-class, aerodynamic design Heavy, very accurate pellet for long ranges. First-class, aerodynamic design for high impact. Tight shot groups. Lowest rate of lead fouling and consistent shot spreads thanks to special alloy.

Review: Accurate enough for small, fast moving game. - I use these to hunt nuisance squirrels on our family farm. Squirrels are tiny in general but their bodies are even smaller under all the fur, so having an accurate projectile is paramount. I shoot these out of a Hatsan Airtact .25 cal break-barrel rifle. It's deadly to small game under 20 yards. People with high powered PCP air rifles might even have better success at longer ranges.
Review: Devastating on game, flat shooting and fights wind very well - Likely the single most violent .177 and .22 pellets on the market. Higher BC then let's say Polymags or Metalmags yet just as devastating if not more like so. They shoot flatter and with less wind drift yet transfer energy just as quickly as the polymags. I do always keep 3 or 4 tins of Polymags in .177, .22, .25 and .30 on hand, because some of my PCPs shoot them the best and in .25 and .30 the polymags are monsters, a .25 Polymag at 55ftlbs and the .30s at 100ftlbs are truly a sight to behold on game.. I'm talking in .177 and .22 these pellets are awesome, I think the predator polymags are more accurate in the majority of guns then the cuda hunters are (Predator hit it on the head with the JSB lead and the design of the pellets because they are extremely accurate in the vast majority of guns I've shot them in and that's A LOT of PCP and Breakfast barrels) but if your gun likes the cuda hunters be very happy because they are roughly 1/3rd the cost per shot then polymags, shoot flatter, drift less in wind and are just as violent on game as the polymags and on tougher animals penetration is better then the polymags. This is a pellet I try in every gun I get pcp or other powered and I always cross my fingers it likes them. I have found if a gun likes 4.51 for .177 and 5.53 for .22 head size pellets that it is almost assured that it will like these, these pellets Avg 4.51mm head size in .177 and 5.52mm in .22 if you average out the head size over 100 pellets, I have checked many tins and this is what the head size average is, H&N claims they are 4.50mm in .177 and 5.5mm in .22 but that is not right, I have checked prolly 1000 pellets each in .22 and .177 over 10 or so tins of each from different lots and 4.51 and 5.52 is what the average is. Like I said this is a deff pellet to try in any mag power springer/gas ram gun and any PCP, they are worth a try as if it shoots them well you have a violent pellet on game. I have taken starlings at between 75 and 110 yards with my FX Royale 400 walnut .22 tuned to 37ftlbs and my FX Impact with the .22 barrel on pushing them at 36ftlbs on med power, and my Impact with the .177 barrel on it at 23ftlbs on med power, and my S510 US in .177 at 20ftlbs on med power and my S510US in .22 tuned to 43ftlbs. I have a lot of PCP guns and a fair bit of high end springers and those are the PCP guns I own that really eat this pellet up, on starlings at 75 to 110 yards any of those guns will put lead on a starling 100% of the time if I do my part and call the wind correctly, and that is a big plus over the polymags this pellet has, the higher BC of this pellet over the polymags allows you more error room on wind hold off then with a polymag, if I miss judge the wind on a 100 yards shot with a polymag holding off from a 5 MPH wind and it's really a 7mph wind I will miss a starling size target, with this pellet I would have to miss judge the wind by 4 to 4.5mph on a 100 yards shot to miss a starling size target. That's a big deal honestly it's easy to miss call the wind by 2mph but much harder to miss judge by 4mph, on a crow size bird at 100 yards with my Impact in .22 with this pellet I could hold center mass in a 90 or 270 degree to pellet 5mph wind and still connect, with a polymag I would have to use the .25 barrel at 58ftlbs to have the same freedom of not worrying about wind. This pellet is awesome if your gun shoots it plain and simple, I know this review sounds like it's a great pellet BUT... well that's not true at all this review is 100% positive and this is a AWESOME pellet, the polymag has its place but overall this is a better pellet IF your gun likes it.. the polymag shoots lights out in most guns plain and simple very few guns don't like polymags, this pellet isn't liked by so many guns BUT if your gun likes both and shoots both equally well then the Baracuda hunter is absolutely the better pellet AND it's 1/3rd the cost per shot of polymags.
