Not worried about safety issues as it’s an indoor window.** A: It would, if you have a thin vertical rail, on the side that you can straddle with the lock, and have enough room to tighten the clamp screws. The clamp screws point away, from the window, and the protruding piece on the other side is what would but up against your window.
