Professional Microphone Furry Windscreen Muff Wind Cover with Foam Microphone Windscreen for Blue Yeti

After doing some research / guesswork and trying to figure out if the cage of the Yeti is the same size as the cage on the MXL 770 I decided to bite the bullet in the name of science and pick this up. I really like the fluffy style mic windscreen in terms of both aesthetic and breathe control capabilities. I also wanted to protect my MXL 770 from condensation and spit which can damage the microphone over time. I'm pleased to say that when this arrived it folded out well (as it was squished in the packaging) and fits the MXL almost perfectly. It could do with a couple of extra mm but I'd say 95% of the cage is covered if you pull it on properly. You can see from the photo that it fits well. This has helped to remove some room reverberation and my mic now only picks up the biggest breaths in/out and sighs - smaller breathing noises have been eradicated from my recordings. It looks great, feels great. Happy with my new pet chinchilla doing it's job perfectly. Recommeded! :)

purchased these for my microphone, to help when I stream.they work great, I haven't got much use out of the wind filter, but the pop filter I have used since buying, and it does help. it may not be the best, but it helps a little, I have it being used alongside another pop shield. and this set up works great.overall would highly recommend.

I record singing and podcasts, as well as chat with my fiancee with a Blue Yeti mic and it's excellent for improving sound quality, especially if you have an electric fan in the room. If you don't use one, I'd recommend getting this because it's a decent price and can only be a benefit.

Bought these for the Blue Yeti microphone as you do get a bit of wind going into them, so using these eradicates that issue. I do prefer the furry one though as it blocks out more wind than the foam one. Both are good to have around and do recommend them!

Honestly with £5.99 for two overhead wind protectors I wasn't going into this expecting much. The price is fantastic for what you get I'll admit; however there is a catch. The "foam" used on one of the microphones is very thin and does not do a good job of filtering out plosives. I have tested this at a range of 4"-10" and at each length, there is still some popping on certain syllables. I find the 'fluffy' windshield to cope slightly better with plosives than the black one.

The foam cover comes vacuum packed to be sure to let it rise and put it on after a little while and let it shape properly. The wind cover mic fits snugly but sheds EVERYWHERE. I didn't even need the wind cover, wish I could have only bought the foam beanie

Was gonna get a pop filter for my Blue Teti but it was like £5+ for just one but this you get a deadcat as well as a pop filter and it works great!

The fur microphone does not fit my yeti. I may of well just brought plain black by itself and saved myself some money.
