Although this is made for a warmer I ordered it after reading a tip on pinterest. It said to keep your bathrooms smelling nice to put a couple drops of an essential oil on the cardboard part of your toilet paper and it would keep your bathroom smelling good. I'm partial to vanilla so I ordered this one. I put it on a few minutes ago and I can smell it (faintly) wafting through the walls. Upon opening the bathroom there was a nice vanilla smell. Maybe not quite what I expected, a little sweeter and slightly cloying but still nice and not overpowering in the least. Also considering about 4 drops was so strong (I'd recommend using 2 or 3) one bottle should last a very long time (let alone 2).Update: The next morning I could barely smell the vanilla but it was still nice however after that I couldn't smell it at all anymore. It would probably work well in a warmer but didn't work out for what I had planned. Due to this (and that I've smelled better smelling vanillas) I took two stars off.

This is my favorite essential oil to use in my house. I LOVE the way it smells. It's a good price, too. I'm giving it 4 starts because the title says "no carrier wax or water needed" and that's simply not true. If I use this product by itself in my essential oil warmer, it burns, like literally smoking. No thank you. So I use a LOT of it (like 15 drops!) and sometimes add other scents to it as well (like lavender or cinnamon!) and then add water into the little bowl. Light a candle underneath and enjoy the scent. I use it nearly every day and have had it for over a month now. I'm still only halfway through the first bottle, so it lasts awhile. It makes the whole house smell wonderful. My only qualm is that the description of not needing a carrier just isn't true. But, use it in water and you'll get a great aroma. Love it!

I bought this to make homemade liquid hand soap in a pump to replace my Bath&Body Works soaps. Although it doesn't smell like traditional vanilla it does smell good and a lot like Yankee Candles Buttercream candle. The smell isn't strong after you wash your hands but it's okay I suppose. It appears that this oil is actually intended for warming although online it says it can be used for other purposes too but the original packaging directions say for warming oils which I will also try since I already have a warmer. It's not bad just not as good compared as to what I was trying to replace. :)

I was looking for something along the lines of Bath and Body Works scented oils....this is NOT it. The Mexican Vanilla fragrance is sickening...sort of smells like yellow cake batter that has spoiled. Thought maybe the concentration made a difference so I tried in scent burner thinking when dispersed it would smell better. I literally have to stand over the burner to even smell it. It doesn't scent the room at all which I suppose is good since it stinks! Anyway, I will never purchase this or any of the other scents again. Along with this purchase, I purchased the ECO Scents wax cubes in Red Hot Cinnamon....these are not highly scented...very weak but at least they don't stink. The best odor fighter/scent creator on the market, in my opinion, is Pet Odor Eliminator candles sold by my vet. Wish I could find that in an oil.

I use these in custom made crochet stuffed animals. I just drop the oil right onto the stuffing.The scent is very(!!!) strong, so you don't need much for a nice fragrance. I used too much and my house smelled so strong for the next 4 days it was ridiculous.This vanilla is a very sweet smelling vanilla.The only caution I would tell people is that the oil sinks through stuffing and stained the yarn and got all over everything.Maybe a sachet type thing would work better?

Great deal. Very sweet smelling though. I think this smells more like sugar cookies than vanilla... maybe a pound cake, which is okay since my boyfriend loves the sugar cookie smells. Overall, I use it in my oil scent burner, it smells nice, just not what I expected. I'll probably try a scent in different vanilla next time...

Smell a little sweet & artificial. Also saw that other people seemed to use it in lotions etc but specifically said on bottle not to use on skin but I did not see this in product description-I'll have to reread it.

This Mexican vanilla essential oil is the best I've had since I became an avid oil buyer. The vanilla aroma starts working almost immediately. It's like no other vanilla scent I've purchased in the past. Vanilla is a common scent all over the world, but so far, the Mexican vanilla is the best. Its aroma is not sweet or overwhelming and only takes a few drops to start the aroma going. It's pricy for two 15ml European style bottle--but still a 5* for me--mixed with a few drops of lavender oil makes a great aroma as well. Will be getting more before amazon runs out of them.
