I will update as soon as I receive the product and test it. Changing my rating to 2 for now. Stay Tuned!Original Review: Its one of the worst products I have bought in years. Not only it gets extremely HOT, It drains battery and now it suddenly forgets the SD card in it and I have to reset. I NEED REFUND or replacement with better product! Calling Support was of no help. Writing emails to them, hasn't worked.

As advertised. Does everything I need. Have HDMI, additional USB hub plugged in and power pass through. Have not tested Ethernet, but have no reason to think it doesn't work. Only two minor criticisms. One, the cable from hub to my laptop is a little too short for my needs. I'm ordering an extension, but that's only because of my desk setup. When I travel it will be fine. Second, and this is minor, the micro SD card slot is on a spring back mechanism and you have to really push it in to get it to engage. Then you need to use your fingernail or narrow object to release it. It's a little difficult to do. Otherwise this is exactly what I was looking for. No more plugging into 5 different ports on my laptop. Just plug in the hub and I have peripherals, monitor and power.

I like that I can use this adapter as a docking station for my MacBook Pro. I leave it on my desk, connected to a second power adapter plus all the USB devices, an HDMI cable, and .... an Eithernet cable. When I place the Mac on the desk I just plug in the output USB C cable to any Macbook port. All works ... except the Ethernet usually doesn't. I have WiFi, so it's not a showstopper.I wonder if I have a defective adapter, but the competition reviews contain complaints about USB C-to-Ethernet issues involving drivers. Maybe my issue isn't a defect in my adapter? Not sure, but the adapter is quite useful to me, either way!

This is very handy unit allowing you to run the power through this and still have extra USB ports and ethernet etc. my only issue would be that it would be nice if there was someway for this to clamp onto the side or hold on because it keeps turning out words and I’m worried about it falling. It also gets very warm which means that it’s wasting power.

This 8-in-one hub is exactly the kind i was looking for my Lenovo X-1 Carbon laptop. I have been using it to connect Ethernet cable, to read SD cards, to connect my external hard drive and I used the Type-C charging function. It is really convenient and helps me well-organized--only one light-weighted hub, do all what I need. But dont know if it is the common issue,iy does get hot for a little long time use.

I have a bag full of different connections and this device not only replaces quite a few of them, it also gives me extra options and frees up my MacBook USB C ports. The MacBook only has USB C ports so until I had this I couldn't connect an Ethernet cable or memory cards, only other USB be devices, using one connector per device. The silver finish also compliments my MacBook, although we look great with any laptop I imagine.The other great thing is that for me it is like having a docking station as with just one cable I can connect my keyboard, mouse, power and monitor, happy days.

I seldom post reviews but my previous device failed after 8 months. Called prime and obtained vendor email. I reached out and my devise was replaced within a week. Prior to that, I had no issue especially considering I put my device though the paces for up to 3-4hrs a day, and with a grueling travel schedule. I was pleased with the service outcome even though I started off as a skeptic. Gotta love it when they stand behind their product!
