Salcar USB 3.0 to SATA Aluminum Dual Bay Hard Drive Docking Station with Offline Clone Function for 2.5 Inch / 3.5 inch HDDs.Purchased this to take 2 x 3TB SATA HDDs for storage of personal video footage which involves large 2.7 & 4K files. My pc already has multiple large HDDs in the tower unit and so I needed an external solution. This proved to be ideal and I will be adding another quite soon. The unit is sustantial enough to sit firmly on my computer station and is therefore most unlikely to suffer accidentaly being knocked over.I have no qualms in recommending this product.

Well, after a week it stopped recognizing both 3.5" HDD on Windows 10(64bit). Could only have one at the time. After several reboots, uninstalls of USB ports, disk insertion and ejection managed to get it working again for a few days, making sure I ejected the USB port and then switched off device BEFORE shutting down. After a few days again same thing, it's just a lot of hassle and too expensive for what it is. You better off buying two individual caddy with each their own power supply.Update: After some more evaluation I gave it one extra star. It seems to be a bit more reliable now so long as you eject port and switch off before shut-down. Sometimes have to switch on-off a few times after reboot for PC to see drives.Update2: Gives me nothing but trouble, I wish I never bought it. It corrupted one HDD that had to reformat, I now only use it for one HDD often have to switch on and off for several minutes until Windows 10 can see it. I bought a powered cable for single HDD at half price and that works great, wish I bought two of those instead of this garbage. To add insult to injury now this costs half what I paid for 6 months ago.

Would have been better if it did come with cloning software. As it stands, it clones like for like. If your destination hdd is greater then your source hdd it will not recognize the additional free space. Will need to tweak via disk management before the free space is available. I used Acronise software to overcome this issue

Just what I needed..I have lots of different back ups especially for my band and photos so I use separate hard drives for each..switch over is easily, nice.

This unit is well presented - being a sturdy case, and pleasing to the eye. The PSU and cables are to the same higih quality. In use I found it to be effecient and reliable. Controls conveniently placed and clearly marked. Best of all it's USB 3.0 with backward compaability. Would recommend this highly.
