Gevalia Kaffe Dark Roast Ground Coffee (2.5 oz Bags, Pack of 24)

I've been drinking Gevalia Dark Roast for 30 years - now it's not available on their website (always "sold out"), nor in any packaging but these little bags. Gevalia tell me they have discontinued it. Shame on them.It has a wonderful flavour, strong but smooth with no bitterness. Too many dark coffees these days taste like burnt toast. I've tried other coffee, but never found anything comparable.This is the ONLY coffee I like to drink at home - I'm very sad that my "30-year coffee" is no longer available.

The Gevalia dark roast is one of the best coffees I have ever had. It is bold yet smooth and is great at any time, even in the morning. I really love the pouches, they are the perfect size for the full pot that I make so there is no chance of measuring the wrong amount of coffee for the pot. Also it is great to just be able to open the pouch and pour the coffee in the filter when i am sleepy in the morning.

Several bags had only a small of coffee. (One or two table spoons full) Four bags (so far) had nothing in them but air. My last buy from Gavalia.

Gevalia is my all time favorite coffee; I have been drinking Gevalia for 15 years now, exclusively (have tried other brands, but to get the bold flavor, they are too acidic). This prepackaged little deal is just awesome - the amount of coffee in this package delivers the right strength of brew for a full pot of coffee. I take this in to work with me to help me through my graveyard shifts. The flavor is bold but not acidic. Very easy on the stomach. This dark roast coffee is the best I have ever had.

We bought a Bunn brewer for the office to replace Keurig machines that kept breaking. I wanted to find single-serve packages that would be good for just one pot, that way whoever makes the coffee doesn't have to measure (and more importantly, we don't have to deal with messy people that leave coffee grounds all over the counter).I experimented with a few different brands which we all agreed were either too weak or simply didn't taste good. That's when I found these Gevalia pouches, which are perfect. I like a strong coffee, but some of the ladies here don't like it so strong. This coffee works for everybody; it's strong enough for my taste but not too strong for others. It really is one of the best coffees I have ever tasted.I would give 5 stars, but -1 because there's always 1 or 2 pouches in the box that lose the vacuum seal. I've ordered 3 boxes so far and it's happened in all of them. The first one I came across I figured "it's not a big deal" and brewed it anyway. There was a noticeable difference and the coffee actually tasted bad, so I won't do that again. I suppose I will probably collect and hold the errant pouches, and when I reach 24, then the next time I order a box I will throw all these in there and return it to Amazon.

I had bought a French Press and found this is the right grind, boldness and richness. No bitterness and doesn't take like water. A very smooth coffee!

Gevalia Coffee (Kaffe) is always good--the single pot size is very convenient for me, thus there is no loss due to stale coffee sitting around for long periods of time.
