I hate giving bad reviews but unfortunately for this I have to. I was exited when I received this thinking it would be so much easier working on my scrapbooks then cutting the photos with scissors. First off this arrived in a VERY timely manner I mean a day in a half. It was easy to assemble but I did notice the guard on the guillotine side is crooked also perhaps I should have read more in depth to see that it was in CM and not IN, though I can work with that. The blade is dull though it will not cut through the construction paper for either blade and only one side cuts through the photos. Also 12 x 12 paper does not fit. I am very disappointed and feel like I wasted money and should have bought the more expensive one instead of having this one and now having to buy another. I would not suggest this for anyone who wants to cut more than a single sheet of copy paper.

Unsafe cutter.
This cutter is very light weight & slips around while attempting to use the guillotine arm. Also, the guillotine does not have safety latch.

Great for scrapbooking/invitations
I bought this paper trimmer from their website, not from Amazon, and it really was perfect for my card making project. It came in a plain brown box (which I could re-use - unlike a printed one) and I had to screw on the handlewhich wasn't hard once I found a '+' screwdriver from my sewing machine. The quality was good (plastic not metal based) and I tested out the Guillotine on three sheets of cardboard straight away and it worked fine. The measurements are in millimetres and standard page sizes and the Guillotine side matched up with the measurementsexactly but the trimmer side lined up with the edge of the trimmer bar not the blade, but it was easy to adjust after a few goes.I was surprised by the extra blades available, these will be great for invitations, and the perforation blade will be excellent for replyslips on the bottom of my newsletters. So easy to tear along the printed dotted lines after running this blade over it. I had a quick lookfor replacement blades but there were none available from this manufacturer - they said in the future they would be able to supplyblades and cutting mats.I found that I could turn this cutting mat strip over and use it again, but I would recommend only using one side for the 'wavy' blade as this tended to make a wide mark on the mat which made the slicing blade harder to use.All in all I would definitely recommend this paper trimmer for anyone who is scrapbooking or making invitations etc, its handy, lightweight, and does the job.

KEEP AWAY! WORST CUTTER EVER!!!
VERY disappointed. It is not large enough for 12x12 paper which is what I work in. There were no instructions for assembling so the handle for the guillotine doesn't work properly and there is a piece sticking up that gets in the way of everything. To top it off...we are in the United States. We use inches NOT centimeters and there are no appropriate measurements. I did attempt to cut a smaller piece of paper on the guillotine end and the blade was not sharp enough to go through a single sheet of cardstock with ease. Huge waste of money.

Not quite as New as expected
This did not appear to be in New Condition. No warranty info, screw missing from handle. Blades looked worn also.
