Big Bee, Little Bee's SoftShell is a patented, reusable silicone food container that doubles as a plate, featuring a snap-closed clamshell design with no lids to lose. SoftShell by Big Bee, Little Bee is easier to clean and dry than a silicone bag, more compact than a traditional container, and features Cool Edge technology for safe handling out of the microwave! Plus, it doubles as a plate and has no lids to mismatch or lose, making it perfect for smaller sandwiches, snacks, and leftovers. We had a very long list of must-haves when designing this product! It needed to be made of the safest material, fit perfectly in the dishwasher, be simple to deep-clean when needed, have no lids to lose, take up little space in the cabinet, double as a plate for meals on the go, have structure so it wouldn't get smooshed in a travel bag, lock shut to keep it from popping open when traveling, and be easy enough for kids to open and close. Tall order? YES, but we made it happen with our brand new, patent-pending SoftShell! Cleaning has never been easier! Due to its lay-flat design, it easily fits in the dishwasher just like a plate on the bottom rack. Tossing it in the dishwasher on a regular basis is the fastest, simplest method, however, if it does need to be deep cleaned, the silicone panels can be removed from the frame. Simply peel the silicone panels from the frame and place them in boiling water for a few minutes (DO NOT put the plastic frame in boiling water). Once cooled, place them back into the frame, and it’s ready to use again!

Review: Best lunchbox around. - So easy to wash, which my husband loves. So easy to fill, which I love. So easy to open, which my son loves. Not only is it roomier than I originally thought, the stretchiness means I can pack it if I want to. It’s better than Tupperware cause of the stretch, and it’s both a plate for tamgoyakis and sandwich bag. They seem very durable except for the fact that it stained with spaghetti sauce. I think if i really wanted to, i can get it off with baking soda and elbow grease. The different colors means everyone in my family can have their own color.

A: It easily fits in the dishwasher just like a plate! Cleaning it that way on a regular basis is the fastest, simplest method. The silicone panels can be removed from the frame for deep cleaning, but THE PANELS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE REMOVED EVERY TIME.

**Q: Is it water- and air-tight?**
A: SoftShell is designed to hold sandwiches, snacks, and foods with thicker sauces. Water-like liquids like fruit juice may leak, especially when the container is squished. It is not designed to be air-tight.

**Q: How do I put the panels back into the frame?**
A: We recommend STARTING AT THE OUTER CORNERS and pressing every half inch or so. It’s only recommended to remove the panels every so often as doing so can take a couple of minutes.

So easy to wash, which my husband loves. So easy to fill, which I love. So easy to open, which my son loves. Not only is it roomier than I originally thought, the stretchiness means I can pack it if I want to. It’s better than Tupperware cause of the stretch, and it’s both a plate for tamgoyakis and sandwich bag. They seem very durable except for the fact that it stained with spaghetti sauce. I think if i really wanted to, i can get it off with baking soda and elbow grease. The different colors means everyone in my family can have their own color.
