01\01\19Okay, I didn't think the HITBEAM looked any brighter than the original 1156 INCANDESCENT so I tested both at a distance of 8 inches with a light meter and found they were nearly identical in lumins (1357). Holding the meter closer to the light raised the number and moving it further away lowered the number, but both registered the same. The difference between the bulbs is the color. The HITBEAM is a very white light compared to the yellowish original 1156 bulb. This whiteness could be misconstrued as brighter, but scientifically it isn't. Holding the light meter only a couple inches from the HITBEAM LED did register 1600 lumins so they aren't untruthful, but don't expect to be bathed in light.

I used 1156 white led 1600lm bulbs on 2014 bmw x1 for reverse light replacement, it works ok, the lights flickering few times during engine start, then no probs - this was expected, cannot confirm if it’s true 1600 lumen or marketing bs, but they are definitely brighter than old incandescents. Was easy to install.

Tried them in reverse, brake and turn signal. Did not throw a code on the dash. Kept them in my turn signal since they are slightly brighter than the halogen. Will most likely get 4 more to put in brake lights. I do worry a bit about the longevity because they feel a bit cheap.

Used for a rear backup light for a VW Rabbit 2008. Worked great! Easy to install, no issues!

Love this bulb, bright and appears well built, but I kept getting and was hoping the Error code on my 2013 Mercedes GL450 would go away but it didn't ... the bulb works and is bright but every single time the engine starts I get the error code ... and to return ... :-(

These LOOK and FEEL like better LED lamps than the cheaper ones when they're in hour ha d (and may well last longer too), but the light output seems pretty much identical to the other 2 (FAR less expensive) types I got in this same order.

Very bright when reversing

I've installed these lights in sealed outdoor fixtures mounted as outdoor flood lights on a Motor Home.So far they have worked great on several short trips.Lots of bright light, just what I had hoped for.
