Initial Review
I received the package earlier than stated. Upon initial inspection, I am surprised with the amount of detail. This looks engaging at the very least and well worth the money for a model. It looks promising as an RC Conversion as well. For the price point it ticks off all the boxes: Value for money, Quality, Attention to Detail and looks like it will be fun.I’ll comment again when I’m knee deep and also finished. I’ve seen what people can do to these Guillows kits so if it is a complete failure I’ll have to own 90% or more.

Very complex but rewarding kit
I've built a number of Guillows kits but this is certainly the most complex in terms of operational features. The builder has the option to include movable flaps, ailerons, elevators and rudder. A droppable bomb. Folding wings. Retractable landing gear as well as various flying capabilities. I'm building it as display only but plan on using some of the options to create a more realistic appearance. The instructions are very detailed, if somewhat overwhelming. All in all, I'm really enjoying the build. Hopefully, the results will be as enjoyable.Update: I've reached the point where I'm applying the decals and have noticed that the "star and bar" insignias appear to be too large as compared to photos of actual aircraft. It's not a deal breaker but something you might want be aware of.

Fun kit, but read the directions carefully
Great Kit! Very old plans, have been around since the 60's I'm sure.Read the directions several times completely before starting as there are some things ommited and some steps thaT you will have to modify. The plastic engine nacelle is junk and there is no tri-blade prop as most Corsairs had, just a chunk of balsa to make your own IF your making the rubber band flying version! I wouldn't even attempt carving one!Over all, it's a fun easy kit for a fantastic aircraft.

Not for Novice Model builders
This product came with "generic" instructions on how to put it together. Often I would have to figure out where a piece went as there were no indications in the instructions. I like the look of the nearly finished plane, however, if you have no experience in cutting and assembling wood models, this is not the one for you.Unfortunately, the prop was missing from the box. I made several phone calls and wrote a letter and finally received a snarky/irritated return call indicating she would send the part. It's been 6 weeks and NO PART YET.

I haven't opened it yet but I had one before it's great
hopefully unlike the 1st one I had, this one is laser cut.

Not if it's your first rodeo!!
Tough kit for a beginner. Most of the parts are die cut while the rest are laser cut. The kit was complete, but some of the balsa is quite soft and extreme care is needed during the entire build. I doubled up on the formers and renotched all the parts to accept 1/8" stringers. It's a nice looking plane.

With care, covered with sheet balsa this is a great looking model.
I agree with others who stated that some balsa is soft and breaks easily. Enlarged the stringer positions to receive 1/8th stringers. I have made many Guillow models and this model for a second time for a new great grand son.
