Not what was promised...
I was hoping that this would connect to any app, as mentioned In the description. However, it would not show up on any app besides the manufacturer app. I would get it momentarily connected but it would not link to the cars computer. I then went to get the App by the manufacturer which you have to buy for $10 on Google Play, and it connected, but never provided the information or abilities claimed by the manufacturer. I decided to return the unit due to the fact that the App was $10, and the device $15, so for $25 I can find a more universal OBD2 Bluetooth device. I tried using my Pixel 2 XL running pie, and my old tablet Note 10 (2014), and neither worked. I also tested with my Android Car Stereo, which I was able to get the manufacturer app to connect and read settings, but not read error codes.

Works, but is misrepresented, no iOS, "included" app costs extra.
This looks to be well made , and in fact does work if used with Android. However it says it is compatible with iOS too, and that is not the case. As you can see from the screenshot it fails to pair giving a message it is unsupported. I choose this one over others because of the support for iOS, since I have to carry an work issued iPhone, I figured I could use this with it any time. Additionally they list as "with TOPDON AutoMate..." well the app is a separate purchase for an additional $10, and then again if it were to work on iOS and Andriod now you are buying the included app twice. It did at least pair on Android and Torque lite can see it. But it seems choosing this one over cheaper options is a waste. May end up returning it on principle since it is misrepresented.

well it actually works great after all
Disregard my review below, basically you can’t connect the OBD device through the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone. You have to use the app you are using to connect it. I’m using OBDFusion and it works great! I may just have to buy another one of these now cause I have a feeling I’m gonna lose this way too easy.Doesn’t work with iPhone. I have a XS Max and I’ve tried all my usual OBD apps. None are able to detect it. The phone can’t even connect to it when you go into Bluetooth settings. I read one of the other reviews where someone used it with an iPhone SE and the E-OBD Facile app but I couldn’t even get it to work with that app either. I’m sure this thing works great on an android phone but the whole reason I bought it was because it says it works on iOS. 1 star because I literally can’t even use it.

Solid ODB2 interface
Smaller form factor than I'd really expected, but that's a good thing. Quick "install" for the part (just plug it into the port) and it appears to be compatible with all of the ODB2 reader apps on the market.Have used it for several weeks now, no real issues. Sometimes there are problems with pairing up, but I think that's more a function of Bluetooth in general than this device.Would have been 5 stars, but for the fact that the fine print mentions that the app is an additional purchase and is not bundled with the scanner. The title and description tends to encourage the misunderstanding, but it's on me for not catching that ahead of time.Overall, very happy with this purchase. Would certainly recommend.

Great product. Great seller.
Works well. I have used this on GM products, Ford products, and Chrysler products. Easily connects via Bluetooth to Apple iPhone 6 and consistently maintains connection. Works well with free app “Car Scanner ELM” from App Store. Highly recommended. Great seller.

Bought to figure out why airbag light was on, didn't help with that, but okay for general system scan.

Easy to use
I really like it’s easy to have the engine inspected wirelessly by using my phone. Plug the box into the 16-pin vehicle communication interface, which is generally located around 12 inches from the dashboard, turn on the ACC power, and then connect the cell phone, tablet, or laptop connect with the gadget via connection inthe APP to perform wireless diagnosis on your vehicle in the application. amazing!

Very happy
I really like it, its smaller than i first thought, and so far worked as it should. I use it with the torque app for android on my Samsung. And it's connected to my honda with no issues.
