A 1oz bottle in a single base coat can cover a good amount of surface area, however it may wear off in time. Applying multiple coats as well as using an acrylic finisher can help extend the durability of the paint. The best bet is to try out 1 bottle on your project and see if it is enough. I use this sometimes to make a fairly invisible edge on my chrome tan leather edges. I mix a few primary colors to get exactly the shade I want. They mix together beautifully. The paint goes a long way. So far NONE of my wallet edges have chipped or peeled off in years of use. I frequently use a paint primer for leather before I paint on the edging. Prolly helps.
