Well made and robust product which does the job
Purchased after comparing with others for icing my knee joint after replacement surgery. It's potential to wrap tightly around the knee and provide "cold" behind the knee were the selling points. Instructions are very clear, and fitting whilst seated is the better position as standing brings in gravity. Remove from freezer compartment of fridge where it fits snugly in the ice maker draw. Remove from bag, if it's been in the freezer for a long period allow it to thaw slightly as the gel is less flexible. Wrap around the long straps first and tighten, the Y-yoke second. Raise leg onto support and allow the magic of ice to work. On warm days the cold effect lasts about 20 minutes, which for me is perfect. It is reversible. A fabric side allows safe contact next to the skin and non-material side allows better "cold" effect if wearing anti-thrombosis stockings or similar. The straps are velcro'd, well stitched and long enough to wrap around the largest knee. I fully endorse this product.

Helps with knee surgery recovery
I bought a pair of these for my mum a few months ago as she recently had a knee replacement and someone I know had recommended using ice packs on the knee. At first she was rather dubious but after using one quickly became a fan and said it really did help reduce the swelling and pain. Having 2 packs was handy as one could be cooled in the fridge or freezer while the other one was worn, then swapped over when it warmed up. The velcro strap was easy to use and made it easy to adjust the fit, meaning no discomfort when worn on a sore knee. Cooling in the fridge meant it didn't stay cold for as long however it was more flexible which made it slightly more comfortable. They are quite chunky due to the gel contained inside, but this does mean they stay cold for a decent amount of time. They felt like good quality and the lining was soft to touch too. Overall they made my mum's recovery more comfortable so they get my thumbs up.

Comfortably effective
Bought these after total knee replacement. I had a full leg one from the hospital but used this once this had become ineffective. Worked well and is not too cold or uncomfortable with the padding. Also used it on my ankle to reduce swelling, with the long straps it stays in place. A good product. I would have given it five stars if it covered more of the leg.

Great for Post-Op Recovery & Very Durable
I purchased this for my 80-year-old mother to use during her recovery from a full knee replacement, and it has been an essential part of her daily routine. The Highlights: Stays Very Cold: This pack holds a serious chill. It gets significantly colder than some of the cheaper gel packs weโve used in the past, which is exactly whatโs needed for deep tissue inflammation. Build Quality: The material feels premium and heavy-duty. It doesnโt feel like the seams will leak or the fabric will tear after a few uses; itโs definitely built to last through a long rehab process. Generous Size: It provides excellent coverage for the knee area. Pro-Tips for Use: The "Thaw" Period: When you take it straight out of the freezer, it can be quite stiff and intensely cold. I highly recommend letting it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before applying. This allows it to become more pliable so it can contour around the joint properly. Safety First: To prevent freezer burns (especially on more sensitive or elderly skin), always place a thin towel or cloth between the pack and the skin. Bottom Line: If you are looking for a high-quality, long-lasting ice pack for post-surgery recovery or chronic pain, this is a fantastic investment.

Stuck for a good cold compress ?
Yes this pair of cold compress devices work extremely well for a knee injury to reduce swelling and pain. I read several reviews which extolled their virtues and find we have bought exactly the right item too Excellent value they stay in place thanks to the clever straps . Our freezer may not have been as cold as some other purchasersโ, also in the heat wave they make have softened more quickly when we removed them from the freezer. We found they could be applied straight away

Excellent product
Great quality item and ideal for after a knee replacement. It stays nice and cold and fixes securely around the knee. I bought 2 together so I always have one ready to go if needed. Short chill time too. Recommended ๐

More Vanilla Ice than Ice T
The good thing about this gel pack is that it wraps around the knee so it cools both the front and back instead of just the front which most others seem to do. All round cooling is great, especially if the trauma is on the back. The bad thing about the gel pack is that the non-gel side (i.e. the soft inner lining) simply doesn't get cold enough. However, I wear it the other round so the gel side is against the knee and this is much colder and works although it;s less comfy than the fleecy lining. The other weird thing about the pack is that the straps are different lengths which may be because the leg tends to be slimmer below the knee than above the knee. Lastly, it's not advertised but the pack can also be heated up in a microwave for heat therapy (not tried this yet though as I needed a cooling pack). It comes with a plastic bag to store it in the freezer which has a basic press seal. I've been using the pack several times daily for over a month and the bag seems to be a decent extra as it hasn't yet ripped from being constantly taken in and out. Overall, it's a decent ice pack for the money and seems well made with secure fastening and good pain relief providing the gel side is used. It loses 1 star for the fleecy side being just "borderline cold" with no pain relief and another star for the weird straps which really irritates my OCD when packing and strapping.

Works as advertised
I use it as a cold compress and works really well. Since it wraps around with a velcro system, there are no issues with its size unlike those that work like a sleeve. Hoping that the elasticity of the straps last long.

Cold or Hot covers the lot
Have a torn meniscus and suffer knee pain. Bought this product and love the fact you can either place in freezer and create ice pack or put in microwave and create heat wrap. Find it helpful in bringing relief from pain.
