ordered 50 trees, no regrets. they are strong and heathy after 1.5 years.
Ordered 2 lots of 25 trees from planters nursery about a year and a half ago. They arrived very well packaged and healthy. These are clones (I has assumed anyway) They were rooted in 1 inch pots. I rented a hole digger, dug down 3 ft and filled the holes with soil mix (peatmoss, garden soil, compost and a little sand) as my soil was mostly clay. I planted 45 of the trees, about 4 ft apart to grow a hedge to block the view of my neighbors driveway and hopefully insulate some of the sound. I planted the last 5 in 2 gal pots. I lost 2 trees in the first couple weeks after planting but some loss is expected. I replaced them in the line ( that's why I potted some). I'm happy to say all others all doing great. the trees in the ground did better then the potted one, but they will be planted in the spring. The Thuja are about 2.5-3 feet tall with many branches now in their 2nd winter. I expect to see them shoot up this year now that they are established. the first winter, one of the worst winters here in years with ice storms and huge snowfalls, my neighbor shoveled snow directly onto to the newly planted trees. I imagine he was trying to kill them because they are 6 ft in from my property line And it took effort to heave that heavy snow so far. Even with all that abuse they keep going.I am very pleased with the order and I'm happy with these sturdy, hardy and easy to care for trees.*Over 7 years later ..... The trees are well over 20 ft tall and stunning. The first picture was taken after about 6 months of planting, the second picture is taken after about 6 years. You can see how the trees completely block the view of my neighbor's garage.Btw: they smell wonderful of citrus or lemon when trimmed.

THESE ARE PRACTICALLY CLIPPINGS
These are tiny (ALL less than 10" inches talll, including the root). They were all planted in a grid on a 9.5" x 9.5" tray. Also, three of the trees were not even planted and there was loose soil all over the box. I contacted the seller promptly with no reply and since I did not hear back within a few days, I transferred them to 1 gallon pots. Now half of them appear dead. You may as well just take 25 clippings from a mature tree and propagate them on your own!

Just As Described!!
I received my order in great condition, moist soil with good roots. I planted them the following week in the spring of 2013 with a mix of clay and potting soil, mulched heavily, and kept them well watered through the summer. I did not fertilize them this year because I wanted them to develop a good root system before encouraging top growth. As of today, they are all still alive and thriving. I have measured their growth every three months, and I am consistently getting several inches in height each time, and they've at least doubled their fullness. A couple of them did arrive with something white on them, but it's gone now, and had no effect on their health. This was a great purchase in my opinion, but I did a lot of researching before I ordered and planted them.

The trees arrived and looked great! I told them
The trees arrived and looked great! I told them, that it was suppose to snow that next night. They said that's ok, they are for your zone.So I went and planted all 50 of them. It snowed, I lost all of them!! I wasn't a happy camper! So If you buy these, DO NOT plant if you are expecting snow. Wait until that danger has pasted. I order more from another company, a little bigger and planted in April, they are doing great!

Well packaged, but not well enough?
I ordered 15 of the emerald green arborvitae, along with 25 of green giant arborvitae to plant along the back of my yard. The box arrived a day early (unusual given the carrier...) and all of the plants looked to be healthy, a nice shade of green, though some were a bit smaller than I expected (the 4-8" tall range). I suspect this is due to when I ordered them (late March) and as long as they survive, I'll take it.I give the sellers credit, as all of the trees looked like they had been packaged very well. two plastic planting trays which were glued to the bottom of the box with expanding foam, and cardboard stapled around the trees, which admittedly looked like a tad bit of overkill - until the carrier got a hold of them. The box was left on my porch, turned on it's side, with a visible dent in it despite the multiple bright red fragile stickers on the box so, you know, it must be Italian...Upon opening, I found most of the plants balled up in the corner, as the dirt had been knocked free of the root balls, and it was all piled in the corner of the box. As a result of this, I have absolutely no idea which plants were which, and the condition they arrived in basically forced me to plant them immediately. The only thing I can really fault the seller for, and it wouldn't be necessary if the carrier didn't beat the snot out of the box, is that they unfortunately didn't label the trays, so I don't really know which plants are which. Fortunately for me this is not a huge of a deal, as where they are planted, I can easily move them if necessary. Why did I give them 4 stars? Well, they've been in my possession less than 24 hours, so I don't know how well they're going to hold up just yet. I will update this review once I see how this batch does.Update 4-11-2019 (2.5 weeks after receiving):The Green Giant arborvitae, despite being tiny little twigs with roots, seem to be doing OK-ish, but many are starting to turn brown at the tips. I have reached out to the sellers asking for some advice on what I can do to help them along.Out of the 15 Emerald Green Arborvitae, two are definitely dead, and many of the others are in various stages of dying. I think this is due more to the beating USPS gave them more than anything else.
