Ok for small caliber- low recoil rifles.
The handle is not a one piece unit. Instead 4 very small screws hold the flashlight head to the battery compartment. This may be okay for a short period on an AR on small caliber but will not hold up to large caliber ARs or shotguns.

Fell apart after 1 magazine
I ordered this product recently and recieved it in good time. However the light quickly fell apart after a single magize on an ar-15 chambered in 5.56. The company agreed to replace the item. I received the replacement item in the mail today. I loaded in the supplied batteries and attempted to test the light. No light. I switched the batteries around just in case I put them in wrong but I received the same disappointing fail to function. I even tested the batteries from the light that fell apart previously but still, no light. I really hate to be the bothersome one, but I paid good money to receive a product that will perform. If I can not depend on the product to work with no adverse situation, I cannot trust it to be on my weapon. I hate being the unsatisfied customer but for the price this is being sold at, I need a dependable product.

Broke almost immediately
The basic features of the light, and the brightness, were very good. But when I took it to the range attached to the Picatinny rail of a Keltec KSG, it broke in only 3 shots. The handle completely broke free from the light. It was only attached with 4 small bolts, which pulled out of the light portion. This might be great for light duty applications, but avoid for anything substantial.

Solid construction, easy install, defective battery, but other than that, great buy.... updated. Middle of the 2nd use fell apart..

New Version of Tactical Light. Seems solid.
I received the new version, that they state corrects the breaking problem. As I don't have an old version to compare it to, I can only comment on what I received.Seems like a very solid build. Looking at the pictures from the failure of the old units, I'd say they corrected the problem. You can put a lot pressure on it and there is no flex, or give.I mounted this on a 9mm bullpup stock. It hangs down a little further then a plain vertical grip due to the flashlight head incorporated in the grip. Cosmetically I think this makes the gun look a little front heavy, but it truly doesn't affect the balance of the gun. The placement of the buttons for the momentary/on (a larger button) and the strobe button (smaller button), are well placed ergonomically and are easy to operate with the support hand thumb.I have not fired the weapon with the grip on yet, but if it remains durable I think this is a good value and ergonomically a good integration for a vertical grip. I will update if issues arise.

Great Accessory, just needs 1 improvement.
Great product extremely solid super bright flash light, feels very comfortable when gripping and aiming. Locks solid to rail. I only would like to see ONE THING, the bottom does srcrew away from the flashlight however since it’s the battery’s housing as well, there are 2 wires running though the tube, would be great if it was just had contacts so then you can remove the handle portion and still keep the flashlight attached. Hey HiLight if you accomplish this feel free to upgrade mine. Definitely a nice accessory.

Good for the price
Good light for the price but time will be the true test. Built pretty good and mounted easily to my AR picatinny rail.

Bright and Steady
Light and grip unit was easy to install. It provides a solid support as the grip was just right for my hand size and did not wobble when used. The light was very bright at the highest lumens and because of where the ON switch is located easy to turn on and off. The amount of lumens needed was easy to program in. The item itself appears to be well built and I look forward to a long useful time with it.UPDATE: I just used it in an all day training class. I put over 500 rounds through the MSR-15 rifle with the light attached and it worked perfectly and without coming loose.
