Kind of like a roll of double sided packing tape. One side adheres to the surface, other is tacky to discourage kitty from scratching. Kept my cat from scratching up my arm chair.Only downside is that the tacky side can get slimy. One of my cats took to licking it and trying to peel it up with their teeth. They were successful in pulling up part of it. My other cat wouldn't claw at the chair, but seemed to enjoy kneading it with their paws.

We had high hopes for this tape. Our cats love to climb the door frames so we taped up all the door frames with this tape. The cats go right up it anyway. I suppose on one hand it's slightly protecting the door frames so the cats dig their claws first through the tape and then into the door frame - but it's not as if it's stopped the cats from climbing up them. Maybe it even gives them slightly more grip. Now all our door frames are covered with white shredded tape. Dual layers don't work either, to deter them. Maybe my cat is malfunctioning, but he couldn't give two hoots about this tape trying to thwart his efforts to drink fish pooh water.Product itself may be fine for the 'normal' delicate cat.

So if you have a fancy house you might not like this. I was looking simply for functionality, and it did the job. However - hair, and clothes, and anything that touches this tape will stick to it.It was easy to install, and I would buy again if I had more furniture to protect. The coverage of this roll was good for my home and I still have plenty of extra left over.

My cats hate it! So I love it! Though if I need my family to see where it is so the dont get stuck, I just leave one side together and adhere with the other.

Put this on the corners of the couch. Brand new couch and it was starting to get tattered. This stuff is so sticky that my pants kept sticking when I walk by or innocently lean against the couch. The paper is a little tricky to get off but the rewards outweigh the difficulty.

Very sticky! It got our cats to stop scratching at the couch. The stuff doesn't look great -- and is very noticeable, but the most import thing is that our new couch has not been scratched at in over 8 months.

Lots of Tape!! I read that some people were having a hard time separating the backing and tape. I took a safety pin and separated a corner and held on to it, a bit of a pain, but it worked.I hope this helps. 🐱🐱🐱
