Essential Oils Desk Reference Hardcover – 1 Oct. 2007

I work with essential oils a lot and after trying many other resources I've decided that this is the most comprehensive reference book on essential oils I came across to. It can be used both by beginners and experienced practitioners. They also have a travel size available since this one weighs quite a bit and not really travel friendly :)

An absolute must for all of those Who enjoy making use use of essential oils. It is packed with all the useful information about essential oils.

Simply a very large and expensive advert for Mr Gary Young and his beliefs that essential oils and Christianity are linked.I found it an embarrassing and annoying read in equal measure.Of no clinical worth. Lacks scientific basis or referencing.Avoid, like the biblical plague.

This book is a great reference that has most of the answers to your questions about using essential oils and mixed oils.

THis book is a wealth of knowledge and really easy to understand. Its also very well oraganized and to me its a life saver.

Not the sort of thing that I would choose to read from cover to cover but a very handy reference book.There are chapters about the history, chemistry, production and safe use of essential oils. Although I'd hesitate to try some of the recommendations - eg taking essential oils by mouth - what I have tried so far has been helpful.Others chapters refer to supplements, cleanses, diet and personal care products. There's also a section near the end that lists illnesses and recommendations. Suggested products are all available from a US company called Young Living. I have mixed feelings about network selling but have used, and been impressed by, some of their blends of pure essential oils with names like Transformation, Joy, Forgiveness, etc.
