Full Throttle...such an appropriate title. This book starts fast and never slows down. I loved it!Carlos "Steady" Soto has always been in the background of the earlier books, mentioned here and there, always a team player, but never a large part in any of the other books. This is his story, and he shines.Abby Thompson has secretly carried a torch for Carlos since their first meeting. They met through his twin sister Rosa, who was Abby's college mentor. And she always believed he saw her as a little sister, never as a young woman who only had eyes for him. But when Rosa is suddenly killed when a bomb goes off in the coffee shop where she is waiting to meet Abby, it sends both her and Carlos down different career/life paths.Steady gives up on his medical degree and joins the Army, determined to take down terrorists like the ones who killed his sister. Abby also gives up her dreams of becoming a doctor, after the bombing, she can no longer stand the sight of blood. Instead focusing on her second love, horticulture. They go their separate ways only to be reunited eight years later.Abby's father, now the President of the United States, has learned that one of his daughters may be a target for kidnapping. So along with her secret service detail, her father sends in a crew of his own, his secret weapon, his Black Knights, to help keep her safe. And it's a good thing he does. It seems there is a mole in the secret service, the terrorists know all their secrets. But they are not aware of the role the Knights play.Steady finds and rescues Abby. They end up running from the terrorists through the Malaysian jungle. Dealing with bugs the size of buses, rope bridges that look more like certain death than the path to safety, angry elephants, local tribesmen and let's not forget about the bad guys with assault rifles hot on their tails. All the while learning that Carlos' feelings for Abby were far from brotherly. And hers for him went farther than he ever hoped. But the time has come for Abby to finally tell him the truth behind his sisters death, and her role in it. She knows as soon as he learns the truth, she will never see him again. So she'll take what she can of his love and affection knowing she'll never see him again after learning her secret.This was a roller coaster ride from the opening chapter. Very fast paced, intriguing and exciting. I read it through in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. I loved the small glimpses of past characters we were given. And I was so happy to see Dan Man back, and healthy again after the death of his wife in the first book. I was worried about him. And ever so grateful for Steadys medical training when one of his team members (my favorite of the Knights) is horribly injured. I'm hoping his is the next story.My only disappointment, and it is a very small one, is the tie up and explanation of the mole. It felt like an afterthought.Highly highly recommended as is the rest of the series.

Please note that I received an ARC of Full Throttle for free and that this is my honest review.Oh man, Full Throttle was such a good book! I really liked the characters and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat, as always. It's always so great when each book Julie Ann Walker writes is better than the last, which is a feat in itself because they are all so thrilling and exciting! Definitely one of my favorite book series.The main couple in Full Throttle, Carlos and Abbie, were fun to read about. I really liked their backstory and that they were such good friends. Some of my favorite parts were when they would tease each other by hitting the other on the arm with the whole "Stop" "No, you stop" debate. So cute. It was nice to see their friendship throughout the romance.I also really liked the introduction of the other romance in Full Throttle, Dan and Penni. We know Dan has been having such a hard time dealing with a recent loss and I just wanted to wrap him up in a hug when reading his earlier scenes. I think Penni will be so good for him and I hope to read more of their story in the coming books.And Ozzie! My funny, sexy, sweet, genius Ozzie... I'm not even going to talk about what happened with him in this book because spoilers, but I will say I just about had a heart attack. Heaven help me when his book comes out because I just adore the bejeezus out of him. His scenes were so great, as always, and I can't wait to have his book in my greedy little hands. When will this be, Ms. Walker? :-)The author did a great job of introducing the SEAL team, who I believe will be the main characters of her new upcoming series (tell me if I'm wrong). I'm very interested to read more about them and their escapades in the Keyes. Especially Romeo. I think he is my favorite out of the SEAL characters so far.The was lots of humor in Full Throttle, which I'm always glad to see, and I especially enjoyed the creative swearing from Abbie. She came up with the funniest phrases, and I found myself laughing along with Carlos. I hope we get to see and hear more of her in the coming books.The continuing "big bad" that started with the first book is still there in Full Throttle, and I like how seamlessly the author ties in more information about that with the new book's storyline. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will all be resolved by the last book and I'm also looking forward to them finding the missing nuclear warheads. I wonder who's book will tie that up and what the storyline will be in finding the warheads.I definitely recommend this series to everyone. I love romance books, which the Black Knights Inc., series definitely has, and I really like the suspense and continuing mystery. So if you like those themes, definitely check it out!

I really like her style of writing and I have really enjoyed this series. Keep them coming.

Yet another brilliant instalment of the black knight boys. Carlos and abbey have a sad past that has taken 8 years to have the both having a come to Jesus moment. She is the US presidents youngest daughter and he's an ex ranger with wicked medical skills and an all round alpha. Can't wait to read the next books . Love the continuing thread throughout all the books and the continuing stories of all the couples from the other books. Well written and so funny in places I lost my place. The one liners from Pete fuller (joint chief) and the Boss are hilarious. Bravo Julie Ann Walker for another fantastic book

Wow another excellent book loved it, never a dull moment from start to finish. Very entertaining full of emotion action intrigue tough alphas and a rollercoaster every moment. Fabulous! I recommend to everyone to read all of them. Thanks

Gritty, heroic under immense pressure, Carlos saved his Blacknight brother, then found himself plunged into a battle of wits, requiring all his physical strength, warrior power and strong character to keep Abbie safe. Once again totally love this series.
