(2) Plug the oil inlet plug for transferring fuel in the Fuel tank socket. (3) Plug the oil outlet plug in the tubing socket of motor's bottom. (4) Spin and loose the venting screw in the fuel tank cap in a counter clockwise direction. (5) Extrude the pump a few times until the area is full with fuel and the pump goes hard. (6) Pull shift handle to neutral position. (7) Turn throttle handle to "start" . (8) When the engine cooled,puII out the choke valve to increase the concentration of combustible mixture gas and be more convenient and easier to start. (9) PuII the starting handle, untiI the initiator of the claw and the flywheel plate mesh. (10) After the engine runs, idle operate it for 2 to 3 minutes to warm up,then pull all the choke valve to the initial position. (11) After the engine runs, check cooled water stablely flows or not. If there's no water or stable flowing, turn off the engine and seek for the reason. Please note: We can only provide CE certification, there is no other certification can be provided, thanks for your understanding.

BUYER BEWARE
Motor runs ok, you wont win any races with it. It is very short it is just barely long enough to work on a 12 ft Jon-boat .There is no break in speed for this motor it only idles or goes there is no half throttle only idle and full throttle .THE ISSUE I'M HAVING is I can't title it in Texas for three reasons 1st reason is I did not receive a signed bill of sale 2nd reason there is no serial number on it just a sticker that says "serial #" and does not have the number on the sticker . 3rd reason there is No m.o.s. number on the motor or invoice .A m.o.s. number tells where something was made . I have tried to contact the seller and have not heard back. Without this info I figure I have 3 options I can take my chances out on the water or I can try to sell it or just throw it in the trash. I prefer to abide by the law and I would not sell it to someone knowing they can't title it . so it's looking like it will go into the trash. Furthermore I would hope that Amazon would prevent the sale of the hangkai 3.5 in the future if the seller cannot resolve these issue with the sales of these motors .

Didn't last a few short trips
Update.....after using it a few time...I'm taking maybe three times with a run time total around 45minutes....the lower unit is leaking the oil out.....gas lines have came apart.....where the motor mounts to the transom is coming apart and is broke...it's a shame because this is the second one I bought...the first one was good and had no problems...this one however is junk..I've put in a request to return it and get a refund.....update. After going back and forth with the dealership..on the motor all they plan on getting me in a cover for the gear box...this does not solve the problem with the broken part in pic two...it's like they don't care or are avoiding the issue..never will I ever buy or recommend this motor...I never used a take full of gas in it and it's falling apart...buyer beware

The price is right, and it runs, with care.
What you have here is a very a 2-stroke engine, very simply engineered. It runs, and has started every time for me. There are a few considerations, though, and it takes a little jigging to keep it up to snuff. I bought this motor more than a year ago. (Before COVID.) I used it with my dinghy a bit, before things go locked down. It hung on my stern rail for a year in the salt air with a canvas bag covering it. (I drained all of the gas beforehand, of course.) A few weeks ago, I pulled it out, unfroze and lubed up the throttle cable, filled it with freshly mixed gas, primed it, and it started up right away, Viola! I puttered around on the dinghy for an hour, or so. It worked well! But... I discovered a flaw in it manufacturing/design.The water jacket around the cylinder head is not sealed well, and it cannot be removed. They sealed it with some sort of epoxy that failed, and cooling water was spraying all around when the water pump was engaged.Making a long story short, I took it apart partially, Dremel'd off the old sealing stuff using an assortment of wire brushed, and replaced the sealing compound with high temperature, JB Weld. It's working well so far. No evidence of wanting to fail.It is such a simple design, it should run as long as there good gas, but, it takes a bit of care to keep up the ancillary stuff, like throttle cables. So, I like the thing. And the best part, I can load it on and off the dinghy with one hand! But, whoever designed the protective cowling should be shot. (Please understand I am being facetious when I say that.) Go down to the hardware store and pick up about 14 pairs of M4-0.7, 25 screws with nuts. And keep them with you. You'll lose a lot of them taking the cowling on and off for various reasons... like checking spark plugs, and stuff. What do you expect for 200 bucks or so?I'd recommend it to any friend who is mechanically inclined.

Robbery
The motor wouldn't run after I received it right out of the box.So far, no refund or offer to exchange, they're supposedly sending me a new carb and ignition module, all that I need to install for free on a brand new motor. Buyer beware......

Expect to buy extra parts. There's wear and tare but geez...
Expect to buy extra parts. There's wear and tare but the pull Handel, fuel lines and drummel (connects prop to shaft below the pin) but these items break really fast and take for ever to replace. So order ahead. It's cheap Chinese but it works decent. Doesn't flood ez
