Peripherals connected to this hub works as expected with MacBook Air. I had tried a cheaper brand with similar features with MacBook Air 2020 before buying this, but wireless mouse did not work and had to return that . This Satechi hub works great. Also the USB C pin slides in smoother without any struggle compared with other brands so less risk of damaging the usb c port on your device. If you plan to use it with an expensive device, just go for this.

I'll not recommend for MACBOOK PRO 2020. The attaching to thunder bolt ports is not very smooth. Also, it sucks all macbook power, and drains the battery. I feel it's not worth it's price, with its run of the mill quality and performance.

After reading about other brands i went for Satechi as it was recommended by Apple. Im very much happy with the product, and strongly recommend.

Only had this device long enough to set it up and test it. Pros: - Sleek design and fits nicely within my work environment - Gets warm, but not hot to touch. Feels like it has a small mechanism whirring away inside, it but it's silent. Kind of like an external HDD. - It has a blue light to show operation, and a light near the ethernet to indicate it is working. A nice touch. - Only 1 x USB-C port used on your MacBook or laptop, leaving me a 2nd slot free for other devices if I wish - Ethernet is blazing fast. I have 1000mbps internet connecting and I'm syncing at about 900 through the ethernet, so it's definitely working at its rated speeds. SO much faster than my wifi connection. Cons: - My biggest gripe with this device is that I bought it with the vision in my mind that I would use the device's USB-C from the hub to my monitor, as my monitor has USB-C Power Delivery (with the hub acting as simply a USB-C pass through to get both power & display from laptop to monitor). It DOES NOT work this way. I opened the instruction manual, and the very first thing I read was that the USB-C pass through provides power delivery, but NOT video display. This makes the USB-C on the hub unusable for anyone wanting to go Laptop -> USB-C Monitor with the hub in between. I had to work around this by using the HDMI on the hub into the monitor, and the USB-C from my laptop wall charger into the USB-C on the hub. This works 100% fine, but it's a bit of a pain. It means I have to have the hub super close to my laptop and everything plugged into the hub right near my laptop - instead of being able to "flip" the hub, and tucking it away behind my monitor with all the cables concealed more neatly (I thought I could have the hub the other way around). Not a deal breaker though. - Not really a con, some people might find the price a bit high but I feel like this device is worth the money. Good value for what it provides in such a small package. It does get pretty warm, this might shy some people away but it's not super hot to the touch, YMMV. Overall the device is great and works as intended. I was going to return the item but I feel that now everything is up and running, I'll hold onto it and get my setup running how I need it to going forward. With a single USB-C that can be plugged in and out of the laptop as needed.

Es un hub muy caro pero la calidad y la compatibilidad con la nueva Macbook Air 2020 M1 justifican el precio. Bastante limitado por la cantidad de puertos pero cumple al 100 su propósito. Lo utilizo para sacar la señal de video de la Mac y conectarle teclado y mouse y no he tenido ningún problema. Se calienta un poco pero nada de que preocuparse. Calidad y construcción de 10 Compatibilidad al 10 Recomiendo altamente el producto.

Estou usando a 10 meses e não tive nenhum problema. Tinha comprado um adaptador USBC que não foi tão barato mas foi de outra marca, e nem se iguala a esse. Não vale a pena comprar coisa barata e ruim para por no MacBook. Eu uso esse adaptador no meu Mac M1, e simplesmente ele funcionar perfeitamente: não tem delay no uso não sobrecarrega o notebook (deixar lento, etc.) você pluga e ele fica muito firme no notebook (sem dobrar na porta, ou ficar molengo) Funciona perfeitamente para o que eu preciso. O que senti falta mesmo foi ter mais uma entrada USB, mas quando comprei o produto isso já tinha sido levado em conta. Ele veio muito bem embalado, bem protegido, e não esquenta como o outro que eu tive, aquele quase fervia o notebook junto. Não economizem em adaptadores como esse, vale super a pena.
