Nothing Bree’s specific
Generic information talking about small dog breeds and short haired dogs? and very judgmental and biased. Seems like the author wrote a bad basic dog training book and replaced the word dog with Newfoundland. The book I got for my children for training dogs was more informative and didn’t have opinion elements deeply embedded into the information

Best Book Ever
You need to read this book. It is like no other canine training manual I have ever consumed before. It takes even the slightest bit of cruel punishment away. It is the most humane methodology I have seen in training dogs, one I didn’t even know existed. With all my past dogs, I was never comfortable with the use of crates, shock collars, etc. The training described in this book is completely safe and secure for the animal. However, if crates or shock collars are your preference, he details how this can be done most safely. This man does not believe in hitting the dog or yelling at the dog EVER (seriously! Even when it pees), and while there are sections on how to crate train effectively, he doesn’t believe in using a crate personally. He even recommends letting the dog sleep with you. The book is somewhat humorous as well. When criticizing cruel methods of training, the author adopts an almost sardonic tone that I thoroughly enjoyed. This book is most aligned my personal philosophy about having dogs as pets. It was also nice to have a book specifically catered to my dog’s breed. However, this book was so great I will recommend to anyone, Newfie owner or not.
