Minute Hand Failed.........But Managed To Fix It!
I bought this clock in 2016 but despite it being relatively expensive for what it is, it always seemed lose time ever so slightly. I put up with it until a month ago when the minute hand would no longer move. The Quartz movement has what is referred to as an "I-Shaft", with the minute hand having a corresponding 'I' hole (elongated circle) and the hour hand being a regular push fit.I thought initially that the issue was that over time (pardon the pun), either the "I-Shaft" part of the Quartz movement had rounded slightly or that the "I-Hole" has worn slightly bigger over time, resulting in the minute hand no longer being a tight fit, preventing it climbing between the 6 and 12 positions.I could see that the minute hand was a very loose fit, so figured it was one of the above.Well, I was totally disappointed with the mechanical quality of this clock, but even more disappointed with Amazon CS for the first time ever who when I asked about spare parts, told me to take it to a repair shop, which would probably cost more than the £50 paid for the clock.Figuring that the cheapest option would be to replace the Quartz movement, I was just about to order a "UTS Hi Torque" direct replacement (approx £15), when I noticed on closer inspection, that the very small gold nut/screw on the front of the Quartz movement shaft looked to be cross-treaded, wasn't sitting flat and not holding the minute hand tightly as it should. So I removed the nut/screw and tried refitting, but with it being a fiddly little thing and me having sausage-fingers, ended up cross-threading it again. Got my glasses on and on the third attempt, I got the the nut/screw on properly and managed to get it sausage-finger tight.Ever since then, sausage-fingers crossed, the clock has been woking great again and more importantly keeping time better than it's ever done.I think the issue I had, where minute hand couldn't climb between the 6 and 12 positions may have been a combination of the minute hand being loosly fitted AND the weight of the minute hand, due to being metal and approx 300mm long.So a free fix in the end and kept it out of landfill, which is always a bonus.I guess this may also be a remedy for some of those who have a similar issue with a non functioning minute hand.

Face started to peel
At nearly 50 quid I was expecting something more thank a black plastic disc with a paper face. This is for our dining room which is basically our 5 x 2.4 metre conservatory. It's fitted about 60 cm above a radiator on the one solid wall. We notice that the incorrect time was displayed and when I had a closer look I noticed that the paper face had separated from the plastic back disc, the glue had lost its adhesive qualities. I had to carefully lift the face, taking care not to deform the hands, and apply several pieces of double sided tape to re-stick the clockface. This has been a successful remedy but unfortunately as the face was unpeeling the minute hand had scuffed the surface.

2nd clock. 2nd one loses time. Avoid.
These clocks really are rubbish. The minute hand has a floating range of about 10 mins so depending on if the clock is between midnight and half past it's ok then as soon as it goes back up to midnight it moves back with gravity by 10mins. It then goes past midnight and gravity moves 10 mins forward again.plus it is slow. These really are rubbish quality. Its The 2nd faulty one I have had from Amazon warehouse tells you all you need to know. Other buyers have obviously returned theirs for a reason. I have a nice drilled hole on the wall and a faulty clock again.. off to Home Bargains I think to get a clock.

Keeps good time, looks great.
Loving the new kitchen clock. For info, this clock has no front glass (nothing wrong with that but it wasn't clear in the listing and its sometimes difficult to determine from the photos). Very, very quiet tick. Seems to keep good time over the short period I've had it. Very happy with it.

Disappointed.
Advertised as a wooden clock. Turns out to be a plastic item with a wooden lookalike face stuck on. Disappointed with the value for money aspect.would not buy again.
