Cleopatra Adult Costume (Womens Large)

I'm 5'10" and weigh around 145 pounds. I thought I would need the large size however, I was wrong. It's a well-made costume and really does look cool, but it's too big for me. The length is good, but it's droops around my upper body and is too wide. I will have to take it in to make it more form fitting. Luckily I can do that, I just don't want to be bothered with it but I still have over a month until Halloween so hopefully I won't wait until the day before to alter it. So if you weight up to 175 (maybe even more) this costume should fit you alright.I wore the entire garb when it arrived and surprised the heck out of my youngest daughter when she came home from school lol! It sort of freaked her out seeing her mom all "Cleopatrafied". The blue cape is the color in the picture but is more sheer, and the shoulder round-thing (don't know what to call it) is really cool and very shiny. But some type of clothing needs to be worn under it as my daughter made it clear she could see my underwear. This is going to be a fun Halloween and I don't regret at all buying this costume, just wish I had gotten a size smaller.UPDATE 11.1.13 - I took up the sides about an inch each and the costume fit a lot better. I wore for a long time yesterday (Halloween) and got lots of compliments. I added an Egyptian wig, a snake arm bracelet and wore very realistic ancient Egyptian eye make-up. I will admit, I looked pretty awesome! The only problem I had with the costume was that the shoulder collar would not stay in place, I was always having to re-adjust it back in place. I kept turning around and going off kilter. Other than that it worked well as a costume, especially with the addition of accessories.

Wow. That is all I can think of to say how this costume looks on. I ordered the Large, it said for size 12 to 14 and it was a bit tight in the bust area (I am a 34GG bust), but not uncomfortably tight. I usually wear a size 8 to 10, so the sizing is a little small. Length was perfect on me, I'm 5'5" tall.The skirt has a nice underskirt and is not sheer, however the top is very sheer. I will just wear a thin tank top under and it should be fine. Once the wrist bands, collar and head piece are on this really looks amazing on. It seems like it will be comfortable to wear for a long period of time (it's going to be my work dress up costume).

Everything about this costume is so beautiful!!! I purchased it for my 14 yr old daughter who had a performance on halloween. It's VERY sheer but you cannot see through it because it has a slip underneath. Sooo well made. Will purchased from this company again next 🎃.

I love the design and overall appearance of this costume, but apparently "large" and "size 14-16" now mean something entirely different than I have come to expect in clothing. I am between a 12 and a 14 in most things, but this garment was clearly made for someone significantly smaller than I am with no chest to speak of. The armholes pinch. And the tiny Velcro squares designed to hold the back together are just barely connectable. I fear they are unequal to the task. Now I am trying to replace them with a solid strip so I don't look like a sausage in a casing, 1) because I don't want to order another, 2) because I can't have a wardrobe malfunction at work, and 3) because no XL appears to be available. Maybe I can diet between now and next week. 😉

Nice quality costume. My mom wore it for her costume party, and it was just far above the quality of the normal scanty plastic-fabric costumes.The blue cape velcros into the bracelets, giving a really cool and glamourous look. The head piece, neck piece, and belt are all pretty nice quality as well- shiny fabric, but not itchy, well sewn with no loose strings or parts peeling off. There was no need to buy anything separate, and all of the parts were nicer than what you could buy at a party store anyway. The only negative is that I had to use safety pins to secure the back of the dress, because there was velcro instead of a zipper, and the velcro pulled apart when my mom was dancing.

The costume was exactly as I expected and everything that we wanted and would have gotten five stars BUT it has a huge yellow stain on the side/back and another on the front left part of the chest. It doesn't smell or anything it is just stained. My niece, who the costume is for, is quite upset about it, but I am reluctant to send it back for another in case it doesn't arrive here in time.Edited to add : I contacted the seller about the stain and they were apologetic but had no more in stock to replace it with, so they refunded my money and allowed me to keep the costume as well. It was very generous of them to do so and she ended up still loving her costume, and the night time kid the stain well.

This is a beautiful costume and looks just like the picture EXCEPT the back is only held together with a few pieces of Velcro. I am quite busty, so unfortunately, any time I extended my arms forward, the back would rip open. I really wanted it to work, but I had to return the costume.

Really pretty!I love the costume, but it does run small. Not true to size at all. I had to alter it before wearing, but when I wore it - I received a lot of compliments.It seems to be made somewhat well, so it can be worn multiple times. (I've had other costumes that could only be worn once because of poor craftsmanship).I only gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because of the size issue.So, as long as you order it a size (or two!) larger than what you would normally wear - I recommend it!
