Great Fit and Look for Cosplay
Product is perfect for my dark elf cosplay. I ordered a medium and I'm 5'8" 180lbs. The fit is great! The laced strings on each side (you have to leave them yourself) allow for adjustable sizing to some degree. The string tips do seem to fray easily as you thread but not a HUGE problem. The strings are crazy long though! I could tie them together behind my back after having them laced on the sides. Fabric is somewhat stretchy and forgiving which is nice and comfortable. "Leather" pads aren't real (obviously) but they do give a good aesthetic nonetheless. Product was delivered to the middle of the US by the very beginning portion of the estimated shipping window.

this was a good buy. It's not fancy so if you want ...
For under $30 USD, this was a good buy. It's not fancy so if you want something nicer or realistic looking you are either going to need to pay more or get crafty. The shiny parts are very clearly a vinyl and VERY shiny, not faux leather or anything like that so you may want to rough them up a bit. With that being said, it's comfortable with a good weight (not too light, not too heavy) and I think it will make a good base for the project I am working on.

Amazing piece for the price, great quality
I'm a wide, but short woman, so I was worried that it wouldn't fit my body. The Large fit perfectly, completely cinching up the sides, so I should've sized down to leave gaps. My waist is 44", and hips wider, and i'm 5'3". So if you're much taller, the shirt will come further up also. Very beautiful, soft and stretchy suede material. The leather is semi-shiny. I got so many compliments on it! In the photos I wore it for my Thor costume; underneath I'm wearing an athletic sweat wicking long-sleeve, but you can wear it on it's own, because it's quite comfortable. The laces tend to come undone after long wear, but can be easily reached and tied up again.

Musty, looks cheap
As other reviewers have noted, there's a really strong smell to it. The lacing is a little difficult to get done, and you'll have to pull it tight to have any chance of this looking good. The front panels, however, don't really look as good as the picture implies - they look cheap, vinyl-like, and not like part of the costume, more like a late addition. Overall, its not a bad piece for the price, but not as great as I was expecting.

Good for show, but don't get your hopes up.
Fits as expected, but the faux leather is too soft and flexible to be convincing. Lacing is difficult and the metal eyelets for the lacing are just barely set, I popped one out easily trying to lace it.

Vinyl, doesn't even look like leather.
Super vinyl'ly. Just like others have pointed out. They also didnt roll the edges before sewing it on so the white shows. But I am just going to rough it up, rub some dirt on it and make it work.P.S. you can find it cheaper on wish. ;-)

Great, but doesn't like to stay tied
I purchased this for my Viking costume, and it looked fantastic. Based on the reviews, I knew the waistcoat would run small, so I ordered the largest size they had. When I got it, I laced it up and put it over my head. That's when I got stuck because I laced it up too tight. It was an ordeal. My advice would be to put it on and have someone else lace up the sides. In the end, my laces had to be worn very loose, so, if you're worried about size, don't be.My only complaint with this waistcoat is that the laces won't stay tied, even after I aggressively knotted them. For my costume, it didn't matter too much because I had a fur vest over top, but it would if you are not wearing something over it or are planning to move around a lot.

Extremely thin leather sections, but otherwise its great.
Ok. So before I bought this, I read multiple reviews saying good things about the material. Yes, the cloth material is amazing. It's thick & soft on the skin. I'm happy with the cloth. Im actually happy with the entire product, but I do have one big gripe personally. The leather, "armored" sections on it are paper thin. They bend & wrinkle as paper would. I really expected these leather sections to be thicker. You have to lace it up yourself so that's no biggie. Also the sides are adjustable, which greatly helps with sizing. Even if you order a size off you can probably adjust it to be just fine. I am disappointed on the leather sections, but I will still wear it though!
