Building confidence in crochet
This is a lovely book to flick through and there are a couple of projects that I'm going to tackle.I'm a beginner and find patterns difficult to start with so tend to stick to easy patterns. Some in here terrify me slightly but I'll build up to them. Most of the blankets are Intermediate or Advanced but there are a few Easy patterns to try first.I often struggle to know what yarns to use and there is a really useful guide at the back of this book (although it took me a while to find it there) - why the info isn't shown against each pattern I'm not sure.I tend to use the recommended colours but will gradually build my confidence and have more creativity of my own.

Beautiful selection of blankets
This is one of my favourite crochet books of all time, and that is no exaggeration! As you can see from my photo, I've already made my version of the blanket on the cover (instructions are super clear to follow so even a complete beginner could learn from this book), and at least half of the others will be made during the course of this year, as I make blankets for our local charity - CHUFT (Colchester) Blanketeers. Not only that, but when I took the book along to one of our meetings, at least three other ladies promptly ordered their own copies after looking at mine, so you can see how popular it is with our group. :) I will be looking for more of this author's books for certain. :)EDIT: Blanket number 2. I used thicker yarn and a bigger hook and made this little beauty for CHUFTs as well since my review. So pleased with the result. I adjusted the pattern - adding some extra rows as well. Loving this book so much.

Well worth the money.
Loved this book and the patterns enclosed, especially the one of the cover photo. To date I’ve made two of these blankets and I’m sure I’ll make many more. Easy to follow instructions and good quality photos.

Stripy Blankets to Crochet
I have just received this book, just worked out it's UK terminology,I prefer US so will have to be conscious of stitches.also I am but confused when pattern says chain set amount for starting then +2+2 or whatever amount does she mean add 4 extra normally it would say for instance chain multiple of 3 or 4 or 16 then add 2 or 3 .this 2 +2 is totally confusing. The patterns looks lovely. I would appreciate if anyone has worked this out. An can add information. Don't really vwant to return Book. Updated review I have found the information needed that I queried earlier in the book. About added chains I base row. Will keep book. Just gave to pencil note terminology from UK to US. I am not belittling it, just the way I have learned an at 78 doesn't take much to confuse me.😊

Stripy zebra crossing
I'm not a fan of stripy designs but recently my taste has changed. I think if colours are use cleverly the stripy pieces may turn out stunning. More over I'm not a fan of cut and join design so this is quite a plan more relaxing can crochet endlessly while watching TV and don't have to worry looking for a cutter to cut and patch; it's too much for me. I want to relax and enjoy while doing a fruitful projects.I'm happy that I've bought this book as it gives me ideas of colour combi and also helps me to relax. I can't wait to start making a runner rug. Recommend this book quite easy to follow with diagrams.
