I chose the black as I knew it was going to be "hidden" , just underneath a half moon table in my entry way and I didnt want it to stand out. I have always kept it on smart mode, grade 2. This way it isn't over powering, just a pleasant scent when you walk in. Also, Ive found the Large bottle of the Aroma diffuser oil can last nearly 8-9 months this way. It doesn't leave any kind of residue, the sound it makes is a dull hum and it doesn't seem to bother the dogs. The puff cloud it releases does attract curious toddlers though. I try to unplug it and put it up high if we are expecting company. The only real cons I can think of: Do not let it tip over, that precious liquid will get everywhere. It had a visible & scented oil residue all over it and the interior canister still had drops of a potent menthol smell. I tried my best to clean it before putting my scented oil in it, but it was definitely a hassle and frustrating to know I didn’t receive a brand new product.
