Why does it say "maintenance free" and then liquid has to be added and charged before it's ready to use? This is not made clear at all in the descript

Adding the battery acid when you get it activates the battery. If the acid was added before the end-user got it, then the battery life would be less (shelf life). Once the acid is added, the battery is "maintenance free" after that, in that, you never have to add acid or water. Non-maintenance free lead acid batteries typically need to have their acid levels checked, and topped up, to maintain proper function.

I'm not sure if your battery compartment on that 2022 Gsxs 750 is the same as my GSXR 1300 Hayabusa. I now the battery is ABOUT 5 inches tall. Sorry I didn't have a definitive answer. Good luck.
