It really stands out as something special among what is a lot of junk out there for all of us people with the good intentions of improving their art. Review: Targeted Practice for Serious Learners - I decided to learn to draw this year as an adult. I wanted a book to accelerate my learning. This offers very focused practice and teaches you why the shapes are the way they are. It's for serious learners which is what I was looking for. I only wish there was a book just like this for figure drawing. I love the format and idea this is your sketchpad, but I did not take the authors advice on drawing in the book and using it as my sketchpad. That feels too finite and stressful and I can't go back through the book later. I have my own sketchpad I only use for this book. The great thing about drawing in the book is it forces you to draw once and move on. Don't get stuck worrying if things are perfect. I've already fond doing this my drawings have already improved.
