Strong, Convenient, Great Value
I chose this model as I had watch online reviews for a model that looked identical, from a discount freight company for which I harbor limited but earned respect. It does seem to be the same manufacturer and model, with different badging. It is strong, but light. Easy to assemble and install. Really glad I went with the aluminum model for the ease of moving around when not in use, and the folding model makes it easy to manage when you get to where you are going. It does sit on a slight angle, exactly as others have mentioned in their reviews, but that seems to be a manufacturing jig issue and not really a flaw. Forgivable. To end this short, I would easily recommend to a friend.

Watch your Exhaust!
I bought the 48" model for a 1.5K trip on a 2018 Jeep Compass Limited. I elected to bypass the hinge extension for the trip as the the unit will slide directly into my Curt receiver hitch. This also allows me to use a locking 5/8" hinge pin as that will not work with the threaded extension. I secured the rattle with a heavy duty vinyl coated hitch tightener plate, the result is a super tight, rattle free hitch connection. I will still use the hinge extension for local hauling as the tilt up will be very useful locally. The reason I gave 4+ stars is the proximity to the exhaust pipe when using a 1000D polyester cargo bag. I solved the heat issue by cutting/fitting a sheet of 1/4" cement board for the bottom and sides nearest the exhaust pipe. That also addresses the rather large open holes in the bottom from any rock or debris damage to the cargo bag. For the Jeep Compass only, the 22" height of my cargo bag still allows visibility of the tail lights and license plate with no other modifications. Overall, I like the weight of the carrier, ease of assembly and it's construction.

Excellent product
This is just the right size for my needs and can be pivoted up out of the way when not needed. Carries my 4500 watt generator and a tank of propane effortlessly. Take some time and effort to assemble but I would buy again (although this one had some minor shipping damage)

Light, sturdy & classy.
Good product. Classy appearance. Motorists can see from afar. Easy to fold up or fold down.Reasonable price. I carry luggage and a spare tire when traveling long distance, sometimes over 2,000 km.I use it as a bike rack and the walker for my husband.A friend/tradesman took 1.5 hrs to assemble.I am very happy with the added accessories, such as reflectors, hook pins, etc.Well packaged. Not happy with rust formation on a frame- it’s barely 1 week old. Got rained only once.I will use anti rust and re-paint spot on a dry day.

I Should have bought one a long time ago!
Easy to assemble. Quality is great. It is solid with no movement. Gives me a way to carry a little extra cargo when needed. I did install some eyebolts to make securing a cargo net easy, but definitely not necessary. It's light weight makes it easy to install and remove when I use it. The mounting drawbar and support are steel so I don't worry about whether or not it will collapse when on the road. I trust it 100% and would buy again. Used it on a road trip from Florida to Texas with no issues at all. Still good as new at end of trip.

easy assembly, collapsible design
Perfect smaller size and hold a lot especially with a water proof vinyl carry all. only complaint is it leans down when loaded- NOT due to weight just a slight design flaw. other than this its excellent and seems very durable. Collapses upward towards the back of your truck for easy storage when not extended for carry. easy to assemble

Gets the job done!
I was very worried about using one of these on my car because I didn't know how sturdy it would be. I used this rack on a 2,000 mile trip from TX to NH and it did the job! I purchased a waterproof cargo bag and it fit perfectly. The only thing you have to be careful with is steep entrances into gas stations and parking lots. The rack is pretty scratched up from that. Rack does wobble a bit more than I'd like but it's not a big deal. Note that installation does take a little while. Very convenient that it folds up when not in use and you can still open the hatch no issues. Used on a 2016 Mazda CX-5 AWD.

Can’t rate higher if it doesn’t work
Overall pretty well constructed, like the aluminum and pretty sturdy after fairly long assembly. After original purchase had to use 5lb sledge to insert and remove. Not real expensive item and figured on new car so lived with it as otherwise aside from some rattle as advertised. However, when I purchased new car (and hitch) immediately realized it was not hitch receiver but the oversized product resulting from poor quality and worse quality control.I wanted to love it but using a hammer and 20 minutes for on/off make it borderline unusable. Maybe worth purchase if you are prepared to immediately test and prepared to return which I have now gone beyond the time window for.

Very sturdy and dependable, but also lightweight!
I used this carrier for my move from Alberta to northern Quebec. I had to travel quite a ways up the infamously bumpy James Bay Highway, so I was worried that the carrier might not survive the rough trip. I had read reviews of other similar carriers where the mounting pin had snapped, or there was a lot of movement of the carrier, etc, so I was a bit apprehensive. But not only did this carrier perform perfectly, at times I even forgot it was back there while driving, because there was no noise from it. It is also very lightweight, and not a problem at all to attach and take off by myself. Highly recommend it, but make sure you buy an appropriate weatherproof cargo bag.

Great value but it needs a second lock hole
It is sturdy and if installed right it does not rattle about, not even on dirt roads. It is light - I can easily install it myself. It protrudes quite far from the vehicle which is great if you have an suv whose rear hatch you want to be able to open. We have a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and can open the rear door with a large plastic Home Depot bin on the back.I feel it would be useful to have a second hole in the hitch to allow the rack to slide in closer to the vehicle. You could just drill your own hole but to have the anti rattling mechanism work you'd also need to turn a threaded insert on a lathe and weld it in place. This would give me better ground clearance on dirt roads at the cost of not being able to use the rear door while the rack is loaded. If this is not an issue for you then I'd strongly recommend this rack over the steel ones. It will not rust and it is light and does not rattle. You do need a wrench to tighten the locking bolt once it is installed on the vehicle (I use an adjustable wrench) and you will need it to remove the rack.It fits our outlander well and does not protrude beyond the sides of the vehicle.Although it does protrude far back, I have not hit it riding over you average driveway hump. If you were concerned that the hump you were about to tackle was too big, there is a standard hitch pin that you could remove that would allow the hitch to swing up rather than break. Make sure what is on the rack will not hit the vehicle if this occurs! (Doh)It does take ages to assemble the first time - not difficult just time consuming. I think it took me over an hour.I would buy this again.

Lighter then I expected, seems very sturdy.
There was a few parts, but went together fairly straightforward. Drill and a decent pair of pliers made it go quickly. The aluminum part was lighter then I expected but the Frame that attaches to the hitch was heavier and very sturdy.Includes a removable pin with critter pin for the hinged portion as well as a threaded pin (with cotter pin) for the hitch attachment.

If you need a carrier of this size buy this one NOW!!
Could have come somewhat more assembled, Brainless to assemble although quite time consuming. The product functions perfect and serves the purpose. Very solid fit in receiver with absolutely no play once the included threaded hitch pin is installed. I purchased the maxxhaul PVC bag to go with it and it is a superb product as well as fitment in the carrier is perfect.

Lightweight but strong
I was travelling 110km and it holds very well. I didn't notice that I have a cargo at the back. I like how it blends with my car. Light weight but strong.Assembly took a little bit of time but with proper socket or wrench it is not that difficult.
