Real camphor, regardless of its origin or how it is produced, sublimates completely (goes from solid to vapor), that is, the crystals evaporate in a short time leaving no residue when exposed to the atmosphere .This product, smells a bit like camphor, but very little of it evaporates. After some time, it no longer smells like camphor, and the crystals remain in one piece. It may contain a small amount of camphor that gives it its smell, but the bulk is some other unspecified compound. If you need real camphor, this product is not going to do it for you.
