USB Trackball

So, wasn't really expecting a whole lot out of this mouse when I ordered it, but the scroll wheel function looked nice compared to the Logitech Trackman mice I've used for close to 6 years now.First things first, this isn't a USB device. What you get in the box (or at least for me) is a PS/2 plug coupled with a PS/2 to USB adapter, both the same seafoam green we all knew and loved in the early 90's. The ball itself doesn't have very much give (won't spin freely if you flick it with force), and isn't gloss black like in the photo. It's certainly not ugly, but it isn't really a pretty peripheral.As far as drivers go, it's recognized as a standard mouse, so no weird shenanigans with plugging it in. As mentioned earlier, the ball doesn't move very freely, and you'll likely have to adjust your cursor sensitivity in order to make this mouse usable. The buttons do have a nice feel to them, and the scroll wheel works perfectly. The wrist wrest is a nice touch, and the ability to remove it is definitely a win.This isn't really the absolute best trackball you can buy these days, but it really isn't the worst. The ball really could use more wiggle room, and I'd imagine cleaning this thing is going to be a nightmare. But as a secondary mouse for a dual monitor setup (Because turning just your head while typing is too hard), this thing isn't half bad. I would like to take this thing apart just to see what's preventing the ball from moving, but that's for another day.

Yes, I like my trackball. It surely helps my carpal tunnel. I had one with the trackball on left side. Sure wish I could have found one like that. This one is easy to use and you can just plug in and go without any additional software.

I'm almost sorry it's a 5 star item. I let our receptionist use it as she has Carple tunnel and would NOT give it back.. I'm still using my older trackball but she writes the checks, so she gets what she wants..

I like the size but the ball moves to slowly. When you go from side to side it only moves about a quarter of the screen at a time. Makes it very hard to play games.

As advertised! Please note! You want this for Cad you don't want this for daily use. The speed max's out too slow to scroll across screen quickly! This is a great mouse for precision PC work in Cad or Photoshop.
