The Added Grips Sold This for Me
Honestly this is one of the best cases I've used with and handheld. The case itself fits perfect, feels high quality and offers some great features that make this stand out. The first and my main reason for picking it up is the added hand grips that it adds to the joy cons. It adds that needed wedge that you would find on a stand alone controller that makes it easier to hold over long play sessions. Plus tou can swing the handles back and pull off the joy cons without removing the complete case. The switch 2 fits perfectly fine in the dock without any issues or and without scratching the screen. The added colors and designs are fun too, giving a little more individuality to your Switch 2 as well. All ports and buttons are accessible on the system and while the system doesn't fit in a standard switch 2 travel case the Mumba one is high quality and fits well. It is a bit more than other travel cases but for the added grips and easy of use I would recommend getting this and their travel case as a pair.

Sturdy, easy to install and comfortable
First day and it’s very good so far! Easy to install and makes the Switch feel much more comfortable to use. I did buy the dbrand Killswitch as well and will update the review comparing both of them. So far, this one is amazing for the price, docks perfectly, and looks durable. It’s also really easy to detach the joycons when necessary. Only downside is that you can’t use the kickstand anymore. I recommend it if you’re looking for a cheap case and joy con grip at the same time! EDIT: Received the Killswitch from dbrand and no issues with the joycon grip for me, so it works perfectly. It’s definitely just as comfortable, but I prefer the dbrand one to be honest, feels more comfortable since the joycon pads are smoother and not geometric like the Mumba one. And I can still use the kickstand with the Killswitch. That said, both are great choices, the Mumba one is solid for its price (and very robust too!), but go with the Killswitch if you want something less chunky.

A must for anybody who wants to protect their switch but also be able to dock it seamlessly!
Winner winner chicken dinner! 😋 I took the image to test multiple switch two cases because I was so dissatisfied with the Killswitch 2 (avoid at all costs) from dbrand that I was forced to look for an alternative. I tested; • Spigen Rugged Armour Designed for Nintendo Switch 2 Case (2025) Protective Handheld Case with Ergonomic Grip and Strap (Not Compatible with Switch Dock) - Matte Black • Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 (2025), FANPL Protective Grip Cover for Switch 2 and Joy-Con Controller - STYL Mecha • Mumba Clear Case for Nintendo Switch 2 2025, Crystal Protective Dockable Cover with Quick-Release Joy-Con Design and TPU Grip Compatible with New Nintendo Switch 2 7.9 Inch Console (FrostBlack) • Mumba Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 2025, [Blade Series] TPU Grip Protective Cover Accessories Compatible with Switch 2 7.9 Inch and Quick-Release Joy-Con Design (Black) • FIWWAT Protective Case for Nintendo Switch 2 (2025), PC Front Cover +TPU Soft Back Shell 360° Protection, Anti-Scratch, Ergonomic Grip Design, Compatible with New Nintendo Switch 2 2025 - (Black) The case must function as a protective shield if I drop the console. I am disabled, and my hands shake, so this is my number one priority. Anything else is a nice addition. So my review and perspective of the cases are based primarily on handheld mode. Mumba Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 is absolutely brilliant. It's the closest thing that we have to a case that protects the switch to allow you to detach the Joy-Con without any issue, at the same time, it is dockable! The material and the bill feel sturdy and of good quality, and docking it in the system was extremely easy and accessible for a person with a disability. Dbrand could learn a few things from this design. From all the cases I tested, it earns my number three spot behind the FIWWAT Protective Case in second place, and the Sponge in first place. I absolutely love it! Now for the cons: It still feels small in my hands when I'm playing because I'm a big boy, so I would like the design to accommodate people with big hands. Additionally, I would like to see a plastic cover that you can put over the screen so you can take it anywhere and not require a travel case. It lacks added protection compared to the other two cases in the first, second, and third spots. But this is necessary. If you want a dockable case, there's no way of avoiding this, so please keep it in mind. This is the closest thing that we have to an exceptional hybrid case. So, if you want to play portable but simultaneously dock the system to your TV and don't want to switch between multiple cases or take a case on and off, this is the one for you!

Mumba has done it again (awesoem s
I was super skeptical about this case but it has honestly been so much bettter that I orginally thought it would be. Just the fact I can slide it right into the dock but also take off the joycons has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I first bought a mumba case way back when they just had the Switch 1 Case, it is wild how far they have come while retaining their orignal quaility. If you are worried about how easy it is to open up the joycon holders, don't be (this was one of my primary concerns). They hold tight enough to keep in the Joycons but are easy enough to quickly open, even with a couple fingers. This was one of the main things I was hoping for and they did great with the design. The way the hinges open up is fantastic and very celver on Mumba's part. My only complaint is how hard it is to take off and the kickstand being covered. As for the actual quality of the case and durabiliy, this sucker will survive pretty much anything. Drops, bumps, and the occasional rage throw will pretty much keep this case safe and secure (not that I reccomend throwing it). The quality has a great feeling to it. I really hate when cases just have that gloosy texture and makes it feel like it's going to slip out of my hands. Lastly, for the grip, It's great. The Switch 2 on it's own is literally terrible as it is just flat. To give credit where credit is due though, the grips on the slim case is pretty much everything you could with for when it comes to functionality. If you're on the fence, just buy this one to be honest. I did a huge amount of research and after buying this grip, I immedeatly bought their switch carry case (I also have the original one for the Switch 1!)

Good value
I'm a big guy with big hands and find the default Switch 2 even less comfortable as a handheld than the already challenging OLED Switch 1. After 20-30 minutes on the Switch 2 my hands cramp up. For the OLED Switch 1 I solved this with the Hori Split Pad Pro, which was excellent. These grips are good though not quite as comfortable. However, 1) they're half the price, 2) they're not quite as bulky since the grips don't stick out as far, and 3) you still have the joycons available to detach easily if desired. "Installation" is just snapping the console into the shell, so you could easily pop it back out if you want the kickstand available for tabletop mode. There's also a nice looking and reasonably sized case available from Mumba that will fit these grips. Look and feel is solid. Again, maybe not quite at the level of the Hori Switch 1 grip but not at all cheap or flimsy. Everything snaps into place smartly. The plastic feels good in hand. The styling is a little angular for my liking but is still tasteful. I got the Red/Blue model and the colors are good matches to the joycon colors, and hopefully you're not inspecting the underside of your console that closely all the time anyway. With the grips attached, the console fits snugly into the dock but doesn't require undue force. But I'd certainly recommend a good screen protector for any Switch that's going to be docked/undocked regularly, grips or not. For my purposes - mostly playing docked but occasionally playing handheld in bed - I'm very happy with this product. If I were wanting to play handheld all the time, then I might explore some of the higher-priced boutique offerings out there. But these grips work well, look good, and are reasonably priced. Recommended.

Love this case! Now handheld isn't so painful.
This case is the best for handheld playing the new switch 2. I've had switches for years and I always struggled playing in handheld for longer than a few minutes due to how the joy cons are designed. This case gives you the grip on the back you are looking for which makes handheld gameplay possible for me again. Pair this with the matching case and you are all set for gaming on the go. The case folds back easily so you can disconnect your joy cons when needed without taking the entire grip off.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Protection and Grip — One Small Upgrade Would Make It Perfect
The Mumba Dockable Case for the Nintendo Switch 2 (2025 Blade Series) is a fantastic protective cover. The TPU material feels durable, the grip is comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the overall design fits the Switch 2 perfectly. It docks without any issues, and the added protection around the edges and back gives real peace of mind. The case looks great, feels solid in the hand, and definitely improves the overall gaming experience. My only suggestion for a future upgrade would be adding an option for tabletop setup without needing to remove the case. That would make it even more convenient for on‑the‑go play.

Great quality, durable, stylish, comfortable.
Bought as a replacement when the thunderbolt version cracked at the bottom. It’s a great product love Mumba grip cases. It’s a bit chunkier than the thunderbolt version so my TomToc carry case and Slim Mumba carrying case wouldn’t zip close like it did with the Thunderbolt. I still kept it though, just to use as backup/just in case. I ended up ordering another Thunderbolt so I could still use my carrying cases. The bigger Mumba carrying case to use with this grip cases is just a bit to bulky and heftier than I would like.

Very comfortable to play long sessions with
Easy to apply. Much more comfortable to play long sessions with. I have bigger hands so it would be nice to have the grips come out even more. But I think it's worth the price

Buena calidad, bonito y funcional

Great for handheld users
As someone who primarily uses their Switch handheld, this is amazing. Have been using it for about 6 months and the only thing that can be improved is the volume down "button" because it's a bit too stiff.
