The 24mp resolution is more than enough for astro photography as stacking 36 mp pictures can be a very time consuming process. so those are your choices Review: It is an amazing camera. And, it is not expensive. It is also weather resistant. You cannot find a weather resistant camera, in another brand, in such a low price. Personally, I like Pentax cameras, as I was using them already since early 70s. At that time I had Pentax Spotmatic II with 1 1.4 aperture on a 50 mm lens. I also use models later in the 80s. Getting now this Pentax KF it is quite something! After years and years of experience, I do not know why another will have to pay over 1000 or even over 2 000 dollars for another Pentax model. This Pentax KF does the job, does any kind of job. From the other hand, things I like to see them be improved will be: - the speed on autofocus. Sometimes it takes long and give me an unnecessary sound. Besides this it does its job. - then I would like to see the delete button, to be more functional for a photographer. The way it is positioned now, left towards the top of the camera, it does the work, but one has to get used to it.
